Today, I went to Trsteno Arboretum just 20 mins drive away from Dubrovnik, Croatia. This is where they filmed the garden in Game of Thrones Season 3 where Sansa Stark met Olenna Tyrell and Margaery Tyrell. Besides the plants and flowers in the tv show, it's pretty much identical.

Trsteno Arboretum (Games of Thrones Location) is the oldest arboretum in this part of the world. The arboretum was erected by the local noble family Gozze in the late 15th century, who requested ship captains to bring back seeds and plants from their travels.

Vrt u Trstenom postoji još od kraja 15. stoljeća kada je dubrovački plemić Ivan Marinov Gozze sagradio ljetnikovac i oko njega uredio perivoj. Osnovni izgled pripada vremenu renesanse i otad se nije bitnije mijenjao. Važno poglavlje u životu vrta obnova je iz sredine 19. stoljeća i već se od tada vode precizni popisi radova.
