Paragliding in Iceland with True Adventure
One of the things that you can do in Iceland if you are looking for things to do in Iceland.
Paragliding with True Adventure in Vík, Iceland. Summer 2019
3 friends from Belgium visited us in Vík, Iceland for some paragliding experience. One from the group, Lucas Marinus, filmed and edited this video. We like it, awesome job Lucas.
Paragliding in Vik, Iceland!
We went paragliding with True Adventure Iceland during our recent trip there. The clouds cleared out for the first and only time the entire trip while we were in the air. It was our first time flying and it was incredible! Thank you, True Adventure!

Summer Iceland Travel Diary [Inside the Volcano, Silfra and Glacier]
We totally love the summer Iceland - the land of fire and ice is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Some places/activities in the video that we love:
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & Boat ride
(
- One of our favourite stops. Best to book in advance as slots fill up fast.
Silfra Snorkeling
(
- You generally float like a bubble on the water, but gonna wear a very tight (read: claustrophobic) set of thermal wear and drysuit to keep dry in the 3-degree water. The experience is really cool and beautiful once you get used to it around 5 minutes into the water!
Inside the Volcano - Thrihnukagigur Volcano
(
- Once in a lifetime experience to get inside a volcano! Take note the 2-hour back-and-forth trek to reach the volcano can be quite draining for some.
Into the Glacier - Langjokull Glacier
(
- Very interesting glacier experience
Fishing Village Eyrarbakki
- A quiet less-touristy stop with picturesque houses alongside a lovely beach

Others that we love - Accommodation and Food:
Friðheimar Tomato Farm
Their tomato dishes are must-try! Recommend to reserve your seats lest end up like us. It’s conveniently located along the Golden Circle.
Anna Restaurant (at Country Hotel Anna)
- The best lamb we had - strongly recommend! It’s located on the way towards Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
Reykjavik - Kristin’s House
(
- A very cosy and homely place. Kristin’s dad is real helpful and friendly! If you’re getting day tours, Bus Hostel is conveniently located 3-minute away. A convenience store is 2-minute away.
Reykjavik - Rustic Cottage
(
- True farm stay experience - a good hide from the city with no wifi connection (nope, not at all!) and warm water bath. The farm owner is a 78 year old, friendly and easy going former constructor but now a farmer that has residence in the main house second floor. One of the greatest host family to have for an airbnb!
Vik - Hvammbol Guesthouse
- Great location to explore scenic stops along Vik like Blacksand beach and Skogafoss waterfall

Discovering Iceland - A Travel Deep inside of a dream
Traveling is without a doubt the possibility of daydreaming; the constant search of being filled with new experiences, emotions and memories.
After having visited Iceland this year, and experiencing a unique adventure, this concept was what fueled this video.

Thanx for awsome time.
Hornstrandir: first time in the land of no men
Craggy mountains, precarious sea cliffs and plunging waterfalls ring the wonderful, barely inhabited Hornstrandir Peninsula, at the northern end of the Westfjords. Hornstrandir represents Iceland’s very last corner of inhospitable terrain, and its coastline is the most magnificent in the country.
Rugged cliffs, precipitous mountainsides and sandy bays backed by meadows of wildflowers make up this official nature reserve on the very edge of the Arctic Circle. This is one of Europe’s last true wilderness areas.
A handful of hardy farmers lived in Hornstrandir until the 1950s, but since 1975 the 580 sq km of tundra, fjord, glacier and alpine upland have been protected as Hornstrandir Nature Reserve and has remained uninhabited. The area has some of the strictest preservation rules in Iceland, thanks to its incredibly rich, but fragile, vegetation. Descendants of some of the old farmers have recently returned and rebuilt their old houses.
We returned to Iceland for a 10-days hike in this abandoned, awesome and exceptional area. Fjords, mountains, lonely houses and churches, lost graveyards; no villages, no roads, no shops, nothing - just an unspoiled nature, beautiful flowers, arctic foxes giving good night, and seals peacefully playing close to the coastline.
The itinerary was the following: Fljótavík - Hlöðuvík - Hornvík - Hornbjargsviti - Bolungavík - Reykjafjörður - Hrafnfjörður - Grunnavík.
This is a place when wilderness stands for its true meaning.
Variety Cruises | Discover Raudasandur, Iceland
Raudasandur (Red Sand) beach distinct itself from most of Iceland’s beaches, as it is golden and pink in color, while most of the Icelandic beaches are black. This tour also includes a ride on a tractor carriage with our expert guide and local farmer along the sandy beach to the seal colony, where you can see the seals up close. This is a true adventure.

ICELAND: Dimmuborgir (The Dark Fortress)
Recorded September 5, 2008.
Dimmuborgir The Dark Fortress are a true wonder of nature and nowhere else to be seen in the world, on dry land. They are huge lava rock formations which make you feel like you stepped into another world. The formation of these extraordinary lava cliffs and pillars is caused by lava ponds. The hot lava streamed over these ponds trapping the water underneath the lava. Steam issued through vent in the lava pools and formed these pillars, which then remained standing even after the crust around them had gone away.
