Bay of Fundy Tidal Bore at Truro, Nova Scotia
Tidal Bore & Five Islands Provincial Park, (Free Camping in Nova Scotia) (172)
Lower Truro's tidal bore was interesting and the visitor center staff was very knowledgeable.
If you would like to know the tidal bore schedule, check it out here:
There is a lot of parking and a clean, modern bathroom. The parking lot can accommodate larger RVs. We parked here for a couple of hours and had lunch after watching the wave come in.
Five Islands Provincial Park:
We really enjoyed hiking to Old Wife. It was a quick and easy hike with just a tad of a climb. Be careful though, the rocks are very slippery when wet.
Besides the beautiful view, the hike is pet friendly. If we had more time, we would definitely have explored more of the hikes in this park. You can also camp here or dry camp nearby and make use of their dump station. The dump station cost $6 when we were here.

Truro Tidal Bore - Nova Scotia, Canada
The incoming tide of the Bay of Fundy is so immense that it actually temporarily reverses the flow of several tidal rivers that empty into it. The tidal bore is the leading wave resulting from this natural phenomenon. It moves up-river twice daily and varies in size depending on the lunar cycle. As the river quickly fills, the bore will dissipate and the river's flow will return toward the Bay until the process begins again on the next incoming tide.
Tour of Truro Mall in Truro NS
This was actually made back on July 8, 2015. Truro Mall located on 245 Robie Street in Truro NS. Phone Number: 902-895-0531. It's Way cooler than it looks!! When one of the anchor stores Zellers closed on March 30, 2013, the space was converted into Winners and Michael's in 2014. The new places that have opened over the years: Winners/Micheal's, Yeh! Yogurt, The Children's Place, etc. I might check the mall out again and do a tour of Winners and Michael's and find Yeh! Yogurt, and see if there any other new stores, and other stores that I have missed, and I will also try to do a tour of the Fundy Trail Mall. NOTE: The Food Court has: Tim Hortons, A&W, Wung Express, and FOR LEASE (They really should put a Subway restraunt in there).

A breif history of Cape Breton:
Cape Breton Island is part of the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. The 10,311 km2 (3,981 sq mi) island accounts for 18.7% of the total area of Nova Scotia. Although physically separated from the Nova Scotia peninsula by the Strait of Canso, it is artificially connected to mainland Nova Scotia by the 1,385 m (4,544 ft) long rock-fill Canso Causeway. The island is located east-northeast of the mainland with its northern and western coasts fronting on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence; its western coast also forming the eastern limits of the Northumberland Strait. The eastern and southern coasts front the Atlantic Ocean; its eastern coast also forming the western limits of the Cabot Strait. Its landmass slopes upward from south to north, culminating in the highlands of its northern cape. One of the world's larger salt water lakes, Bras d'Or (Arm of Gold in French), dominates the centre of the island.
The island is divided into four of Nova Scotia's eighteen counties: Cape Breton, Inverness, Richmond, and Victoria. Their total population at the 2011 census numbered 135,974 Cape Bretoners; this is approximately 15% of the provincial population.[2] Cape Breton Island has experienced a decline in population of approximately 4.4% since the previous census in 2006. Approximately 75% of the island's population is located in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) which includes all of Cape Breton County and is often referred to as Industrial Cape Breton, given the history of coal mining and steel manufacturing in this area, which was Nova Scotia's industrial heartland throughout the 20th Century.
The island contains five reserves of the Mi'kmaq Nation, these being: Eskasoni, Membertou, Wagmatcook, Waycobah, and Potlotek/Chapel Island. Eskasoni is the largest in both population and land area.
