CADSAS - Johnny Harel Billfish Competition (2012)

A short film captured during this years CADSAS (Central African Deep Sea Angling Society) Johnny Harel Billfish Competition. In order to comply with competition rules all boats/teams were required to film their respective catches. This film is made up of footage captured aboard the boat Nao Faz Mal, by the team of the same name.

The film concludes with Jeremey Badcock's Big Fish winning, 420Kg (925 Pounds) monster of a marlin. Jeremy was part of Team Beluga.

Please help Pretty and Angel Ncube!

I first befriended Zimbabwe-born Pretty Ncube five years ago in Botswana when she worked with our family as a nanny. We helped her to buy a small home in Zimbabwe before we resettled back in Europe - but were a little concerned to learn from her new employers that Pretty had failed to return to Botswana after a short trip home to collect her daughter's passport.
Miraculously in the last few days Pretty has tracked me down via Facebook, but on pushing for news I was devastated to hear what she and her daughter Angel had been through in the intervening years. A terrible car accident left both critically injured. With no medical insurance, nor access to good medical facilities, Pretty was compelled to sell their little home in order to seek ongoing treatment for them both in South Africa. In the meantime her fiancé left. It has been a long, hard and lonely road to recovery for both, but Pretty has managed to start up a small kiosk in the town of Plumtree to help make ends meet. She would never ask for money - but we would dearly love to ease her circumstances with your assistance. Every tiny donation makes an enormous difference to our beautiful and very brave friend. Please help.
