Japanese small tsu つ - How do you pronounce it?
Let's learn how to pronounce Japanese small tsu, つ in Hiragana and ツ in Katakana. The small tsu is used to spell Double Consonants in Japanese. For example, a word like Nissan has two consonants ss in sequence and we call such sequences double consonants. When it comes to double consonants, no matter if the consonants are kk pp or something else, there is only one way to pronounce it in Japanese. Complete Guide to Visiting the Beautiful Islands of Okinawa Japan|Day 106-109 - Okinawa
Okinawa (沖縄県, Okinawa-ken) is Japan's southernmost prefecture, consisting of a few dozen, small islands in the southern half of the Nansei Shoto, the island chain which stretches over about one thousand kilometers from Kyushu to Taiwan. Okinawa Prefecture can be divided into three major island groups, the Okinawa Islands (Okinawa Shoto) around Okinawa Island (Okinawa Honto), the Miyako Islands (Miyako Retto) around Miyako Island and the Yaeyama Islands (Yaeyama Retto) around Ishigaki Island. Okinawa's climate is subtropical, with temperatures barely falling below 15 degrees in winter. The seas surrounding Okinawa's islands are considered among the world's most beautiful with coral reefs and abundant marine wildlife. Consequently, snorkeling and scuba diving are among Okinawa's top attractions.
The islands making up Okinawa Prefecture, are also known as the Ryukyu Islands, named after the native culture, which is distinctly different from that of the rest of Japan in terms of language, cuisine, arts, etc.
We had tons of fun here and it is definitely a wonderful vacation spot for any travelers venturing off to Japan.

【4K】Sapporo Tsu-dome walk
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
Tsu-dome is the third place related to Snow festival besides Susukino and Oodori. It's a bit far from the center but there are direct buses going from Susukino and Oodori to Tsu-dome.
Tsu-dome is a bit different, it's not about looking around but more about action. Also it's more children oriented. It has as outdoor activities as indoor. You can ride down from different hills, carve your own cup out of ice, play snowballs and just dig into snow.
Be careful it get closed at 5pm and some food stalls start closing from 4pm.
At first I did not understand that Tsudome is partially English, so I pronounced it as romaji ツドメ.

But Kansai is more than just these tourism powerhouses. The region is made up seven amazing prefectures, each with something unique and fascinating to offer to curious travelers. One of them is Mie.

EXPLORING A JAPANESE ATLANTIS ISLAND CAVE|Day 89 - Saga
The Nanatsugama Caves, designated as a natural monument of Japan, are spectacular caves formed from the infamous rough waves of the Genkai Sea pounding against the cliffs and eroding them away over many long years. As the Japanese name suggests, the Nanatsugama Caves consists of seven caves in a row formed by deep erosion into the cliff face, and this scenery is one which strikes onlookers by the marvels of nature. The largest of the caves has an opening of 3 meters and depth of 110 meters. The caves can be enjoyed leisurely on a cruise boat. There is a grassy plateau above the caves, with a lookout and walking trail, and it is often buzzing with numerous sightseers. The area around Nanatsugama is also popular as a fishing destination. Legend says that Empress Jingu discarded an earthen vessel here that was memorabilia for her troops winning the war with Korea, and there is a shrine here called Dokizaki Shrine which worships her.

Exploring the Japanese Countryside [Yahiko Village]
Located in central Niigata Prefecture and abutting the Sea of Japan, Yahiko Village is considered one of Japan’s most sacred areas. According to legend, the great grandson of Shinto Japan’s founding deity, Amaterasu-omikami, settled here. The god helped establish regional Echigo agriculture. Today, Yahiko Village is renowned for its rice, edamame, shiitake mushrooms and sake. Locally caught seafood is another delicious gourmet specialty. Major drawcards include Yahiko Shrine, Yahiko Park and Mount Yahiko (634 meters). The former is one of Japan’s most significant shrines. Stately cedar trees, mature maples, blushing cherry blossoms and cheery chrysanthemums can all be found on its premises. The summit of Mount Yahiko is accessible by hiking trails or ropeway. Take in sweeping views of Sado Island and the Sea of Japan coastline on a clear day. Any hiking should be followed by a soak in one of the town’s onsen or hot springs. Some are standalone. Others form part of traditional ryokan or inn lodgings. To reach Yahiko Village by train, take the JR Joetsu Shinkansen from Tokyo. Get off at Tsubame-sanjo Station and transfer to the JR Yahiko Line. Alternatively, travel from Niigata Station via the Echigo and Yahiko line, changing at Yoshida Station.

Best UNKNOWN Village in Japan|Yahiko Village
Yahiko Village is situated on the Sea of Japan side of the central part of Niigata Prefecture. Its western side borders Niigata City and Nagaoka City with sacred Mt. Yahiko (634 meters) in between. While Tsubame City neighbors the eastern and southern sides of the village, there is a fertile grain-growing region abutting Niigata City on the northern side. This area is famous for edemame and rice and is known as a power spot, a place that people venture off to regain their energy from the busy city life.
