Looking for a day trip when you’re in Nagoya? Take the panorama train from Nagoya to Ise-shi. Walk around the Geku area to get in the mood and then proceed to the Naiku area crossing the bridges (but make sure to take the bus from one to the other... seriously... it’s enough walking).

名古屋市中村区の笈瀬本通商店街を歩いてきました。名古屋駅西口から徒歩約10分、太閤通側の入り口には二体の河童の銅像があります。ちなみに「かっぱ商店街」という可愛らしい愛称がありますが東京のかっぱ橋道具街とは一切関係ありません。　★寂しい街、商店街を歩くシリーズ ►

私は下町生まれの下町育ちで親が商店を営んでいた事もあり、小さい頃の遊び場は市場や商店街でした。大型モールや少子高齢化により私の小さな頃と今とではかなり変わってしまいましたが今でも私は商店街が好きです。そして昭和の匂いのする街が大好きです。

栄枯盛衰、商店街は全国的にいわゆるシャッター街が増えておりこのままでは廃墟化してしまうかもしれません。ガラッと変わるのは好きではありませんが静かなる復活を期待しつつ残されている街を自分の目で確かめアーカイブしておきたくなり動画を撮影・アップしました。

I was born and grew up in a downtown area where my parents used to run shops, and when I was little, the playground was a market or a shopping street. The big mall and the declining birthrate and the aging of the population have changed the way I was now and now, but I still like the shopping street. And I love the city that smells of Old times.
