There are beaches chumotap tsunami. 10 years ago, the French encountered the tsunami on the Maldives took away the lives of millions of people. Male is bound to suffer helplessly as the tsunami disaster, because you encounter group about two meters above sea level. Since then, the Maldives government is said to be encouraged to migrate to the big island to live on a small island natives built a dike around the male. Another annoyance of the male is a waste. Tilra push is 100% rubbish 24 hours a day, there are endless smoke. Why? Many people living in Male 'discards huge amounts of waste daily. And eventually they clean up the garbage. Tilra could push the island, and the like? Come closer and closer together trash smell of smoke was a big vibration. The harbor was a huge garbage are piled up like a mountain. Sseoyaman mask the smell and the garbage was hard to breathe because of the smoke. For a little more to go, but could not see anything inside the smoke obscured. Tilra push appearance of the island viewed from a high place was so distressing. Jean seemed well-maintained resort and also as hell and contradictory figure. As if the whole island seemed to be on fire. Most of the waste was burned in here hiding tires or plastic, such as the one hoeyongpum. Rubbish and ashes are spread to the sea while the wind was polluting the sea.

The Maldives have always faced two main problems – the threat of global warming and government by dictatorship. Bizarrely, the Tsunami appears to have had a positive impact on both.
“The tide is now three to four times higher than it was 100 years ago,” states scientist Dr Ali. The government attempted to deal with this threat by building a artificial island high above sea level. When the Tsunami struck, it used this opportunity to permanently re-house residents on the nine lowest lying islands. Unexpectedly, the President also released political prisoners and promised multi-party democracy. Critics claim this is just a cynical ploy to attract more aid. But released prisoners believe these changes will be permanent. “I don’t see that things can be reversed. We’ve past the point of no return.”

STORYLINE
Foreign holidaymakers are back in the water and resort hotel rooms are reopening across the Maldives as the Indian Ocean nation''s tourism business struggles to rebound from the devastating tsunami.
Waves swept completely across some of the tiny, low-lying coral islands on Sunday that were hosting 17,000 international tourists at the height of the New Year holiday season.
Beachfront bungalows were flooded or demolished, power and communications were knocked out, and thousands of tourists were evacuated in hastily organised charter flights.
But a combination of luck and geography, and the determination of many tourists to continue their holidays, has meant damage to the industry, the Maldives'' economic mainstay, is less than originally feared.
In resorts on Thursday, tourists swam and snorkelled near resort buildings that had windows and balconies smashed by the tsunami. Scuba divers descended next to concrete breakwaters in which the wave had punched gaping holes.
Michaela Niedermeyer, a 43-year-old holidaymaker from Vienna, Austria, jumped on an inflatable mattress and paddled to shore after her bungalow, built on stilts over the water, was swamped by the wave.
Niedermeyer declined the offer of an evacuation flight home and moved to another resort after hers closed.
Joerg Limper, general manager of the 156-room Full Moon resort on Furana Fushi island, which bore the brunt of the tsunami because of its location on the eastern side of Male Atoll, said his resort was among those being cleared up and almost back to normal.
height - may also have ensured that damage was less serious than it was on the coasts of Thailand, Sri Lanka and India.

Maldives City Tour - Places to visit in Male', capital city | Maldives Vlog
Whenever we plan a trip to a new destination, the first thing we do is to search for the places to visit in that particular location. When it comes to Maldives, the situation is very different. Usually, you would book for a 3-6 days stay in a resort in Maldives. When you do this, you are received by the resort representative at the Velana International Airport and then taken to the resort on a speed boat or sea plane.
