Poetic License Northern Dry Gin Review
#GinReview #GinandTonic #HowToDrinkGin
Do you want to know how to drink Gin?
This is a Gin Review of Poetic License Northern Dry Gin and I also cover How to Drink as a Gin and Tonic.
Buy the Products;
Poetic License Northern Dry;
Drinkstuff;
Drinks by the Dram;
Mezclar Precisio Measure;
Glass;
Franklin & Sons Pink Grapefruit Tonic;
Double Dutch Tonic;
WHAT IS THE BEST GIN?
In this video, I'm gonna be talking about a Poetic License Northern Dry Gin from Sunderland, I'm gonna be giving it a quick review, telling you what it tastes like, how it's made and then right at the end of the video, I'm gonna give you not only my preferred tonic serve, but also a great simple Gin and Tonic Cocktail serve.
QUESTION OF THE VIDEO…
How much did the last Gin & Tonic you bought in a Pub or Bar cost?!
What was the brand?
And was it a single or double?
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW
OUT POETIC LICENSE NORTHERN DRY GIN
The gin is 43.2% ABV and costs roughly £35 on Amazon. Link above. Poetic License Gin is based in Sunderland in the north east of England.
BOTANICALS IN NORTHERN DRY GIN
There are 13 Botanicals in the Northern Dry Gin. Although Poetic License are a bit secretive about the actual botanicals. They tell you 4 of them…being Juniper, Cardamom, Pepper and Citrus.
HOW ITS MADE
The Botanicals are hand crushed then macerated in Poetic License’s neutral spirit before Gracie, the 500l copper pot still is fired up in to action. And while some distilleries will just collect all the vapour coming off the still and turn it into Gin, Poetic License only collect the Heart of the Liquid…the very best of the Liquid.
AROMA & TASTE
As you may guess, You get a punchy hit of juniper and cardamom, with a little citrus in the back. Then on the taste, you get this creamy richness with a lingering citrus finish.
It’s an exceptionally smooth Gin, perfect for a Classic Gin & Tonic, Martini…or a Negroni.
WHAT IS THE BEST TONIC WATER WITH THIS GIN
My Preferred Tonic Water serve with the Gin is Double Dutch Indian Tonic water.
And my alternative Tonic is Franklin & Sons Pink Grapefruit and Bergamot.
WHAT CAN I MIX WITH GIN INSTEAD OF TONIC?
And if you don’t like the Tonic Water, then I can highly recommend
GIN AND TONIC COCKTAIL RECIPE
50ml Poetic License Northern Dry Gin
150ml Double Dutch Indian Tonic water
1 slice of Pink Grapefruit

UK: COCA - COLA IN CADBURY SCHWEPPES DEAL
English/Nat
American beverage giant Coca Cola is spending one-point-85 (b) billion U-S dollars to buy the rights to Cadbury Schweppes brands in 120 countries.
The deal includes Schweppes and Canada Dry Mixers, Dr Pepper and Crush, but the transactions do not apply to the U-S, France and South America.
Coke says it expects the sale will be wrapped up by the middle of next year, after regulatory review in a number of countries.
In London on Friday, Cadbury Schweppes officials said both firms benefit from the deal.
The financial controllers of Coca Cola and Cadbury Schweppes shake hands on a landmark drinks deal.
Coke say the deal provides entry into new parts of the beverage industry with widely recognised products.
The agreement gives Atlanta-based Coca-Cola the rights to Cadbury Schweppes beverage brands in more than 120 countries outside the U-S, France and South Africa.
In addition to Dr Pepper and Crush, the beverages include Schweppes and Canada Dry mixers and regional soft drink brands.
However, distribution of the British firm's Cadbury sweets will not be affected by the deal.
Under the agreement, Coca Cola's vast, international network of bottling plants and distribution teams will take over the Cadbury Schweppes label.
That means Cadbury Schweppes drinks like Dr Pepper may soon reach a far greater number of refrigerators around the globe.
Cadbury officials say their firm doesn't have the distribution systems necessary to make a worldwide beverage operation succeed.
Instead, the company wants to focus on increasing its market share in the United States, the world's largest soft drink market.
Cadbury's C-E-O says both firms emerge winners from the deal.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
For the Coca Cola company, I think it means that they get a terrific portfolio of brands, to add to the staple of brands that they already have. And they are able to make those brands available to far more consumers because they have a wider distribution than we do. For Cadbury Schweppes, it means that in that part of the world, outside the U-S, where we only have a three per cent market share, and we don't really have a lead brand, we're able to exit that business, but realise some of the value from it because of the sale of those brands to the Coca Cola company.
SUPERCAPTION: John Sunderland, CEO Cadbury Schweppes
Coca-Cola is the leader in soft drinks around the world, and Cadbury also trails Pepsi- Cola in the U-S.
Completion of the deal is subject to regulatory review in a number of countries, but is expected in the middle of 1999.
The deal will affect about 450 Cadbury Schweppes employees, who will have the opportunity to take jobs with Coca-Cola.
The sale didn't bring any immediate financial rewards to Coke, which expects to disappoint Wall Street with its fourth-quarter earnings.
Coke's stock tumbled more than 5 per cent in early trading after Friday's announcements.

In the Laps Of The Mods (HD) | Carina Gonzalez-Brown
Please watch in HD (1080p)
I was commissioned by the 'Lewes Library' to recreate a local story of my own relating to an event that took place in Sussex. After spending a few weeks researching, I came up with the idea of 'Mods vs Rockers' particularly in the 60's.
I set my project around the feud that took place between subcultures down Brighton Beach in 1964. I went down to Brighton beach and took many photographs to back up my research. I then contacted Jonathan Leroy from 'Jump The Gun' down in Brighton North Laines, who helped me arranged an interview with one of his employers from 'Jump The Gun'. Jump the Gun is one of the only quality mod clothing shops left in England. They've been selling mod clothing from the same location for the past 20 years.
Thank you very much for taking the time to watch my video.

Notes: Free Upgrade to Business!
Thanks for finding my video and pressing play!
Welcome to 2018! This is my first video posed using my new camera, a Panasonic Linux DMC-LX15. Previously, night flights were almost not worth filming as my iPhone wasn’t able to deliver acceptable image quality. So this is a mainly experimental trip report; I’m testing out the capabilities of the camera here, and just seeing what it can do.
I’ve no idea why the Business Class Upgrade was given to me. The flight wasn’t full and I don’t have any sort of status with CSA. You’ll notice there’s only one row of Business: me and one other passenger. However the curtain divider only goes forward as far as Row 2, so strangely there was a row of economy class in the “mini cabin” with us.
Also really surprising that our flight, at 2105, was the last of the evening. Birmingham is a reasonably busy airport and I would have expected flights to run a lot later than that!
Overall, a decent flight with a meal. It’s always good to have a gin and tonic in the air!
Make sure you have your notifications set! ????
Enjoy the report.
