Tohono Chul
One of the Tucson area's most important natural attractions might have been a mall had it not been for the gift of a local family - it is now known as Tohono Chul, on Tucson's northwest side where more than 30 acres have been preserved. We brought you this story last year when Suzie Horst, the donor's daughter, shared her experiences about growing up on the land. We didn't know then that Suzie was fighting cancer, a battle she recently lost. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband Todd, the rest of her family, and her many friends at Tohono Chul. Here is that story again, in her honor.

The company offers businesses and consumers solutions that include, but are not limited to, establishing lines of credit (personal/non-personal guarantees), analysis and consulting on business and consumer credit reports, establishing business credit scores, credit card approval processes, and identity theft protection. Better Qualified works with over 100 business partners that are both public and privately held companies. The company has consulted for thousands of individuals and corporations on their credit ratings, operations, sales and business models. The Finance and Insurance sector comprises establishments primarily engaged in financial transactions (transactions involving the creation, liquidation, or change in ownership of financial assets) and/or in facilitating financial transactions. Three principal types of activities are identified: 1. Raising funds by taking deposits and/or issuing securities and, in the process, incurring liabilities. Establishments engaged in this activity use raised funds to acquire financial assets by making loans and/or
purchasing securities. Putting themselves at risk, they channel funds from lenders to borrowers and transform or repackage the funds with respect to maturity, scale, and risk. This activity is known as financial intermediation. 2. Pooling of risk by underwriting insurance and annuities. Establishments engaged in this activity collect fees, insurance premiums, or annuity considerations; build up reserves; invest those reserves; and make contractual payments. Fees are based on the expected incidence of the insured risk and the expected return on investment. 3. Providing specialized services facilitating or supporting financial intermediation, insurance, and employee benefit programs.

8 Fun Things to Do for the Holidays in Downtown Tucson with Darren and Tony Ray
Okay, we're back! We're on Facebook.com/SeeTucsonRealEstate! Happy Holidays in Downtown Tucson! Good morning and guess who's here today, it's Darren Jones! I don't think you've been with us for like three weeks, it's good to have you back :)
We got some really fun stuff to show you; there's a ton of really cool holiday stuff going on in downtown Tucson and we want to talk to you about all the fun stuff. If you've got kids, this is gonna be the place to be over the next few weeks.
We've also got some amazing homes coming up really fun stuff, i'm bouncing off the walls like this because I really want to show you these homes but i have no photographs and I can't show you anything, but they're coming so I'm gonna give you a sneak... not a preview but it'll be verbal like a story that you buy and you listen to the book.
Miracle On Congress Street
What we have is Miracle on Congress Street going on and Santa Claus is actually here today from 10am to 8pm, it looks like, and tomorrow from 10am to 4pm, and you can see how beautiful this is! Everything inside is Christmas, so let's walk over! I hear Christmas music! It's a Christmas wonderland in here!
Wow, and you're gonna have coloring?
We're gonna have coloring and then the Children's Museum will be here from 2:30 - 4:30 for some arts and crafts and then afterwards we will be decorating some cookies! This is so exciting, if I was a little kid I'd want to be here so bad! oh my gosh, look at how fun this is, so you're open from ten to six today? 10 to 8pm, actually :) From 10 to 8pm today, bring the kids down! And you've got Santa Claus coming and hanging out, this is just part of the great fun that's going on!
Christmas with Mrs. Clause at the Carriage House
Lets talk about what's going on really quick then, this is open on every weekend until Christmas Eve, Santa's here and I heard that Mrs. Claus is actually going to be at the Carriage House on December 17th. She's gonna be there and she's going to read stories and stuff and she's got cookies; bring your cameras!
For the Carriage House, you can go online where you can register there. The kids will learn to bake cookies and do Christmas things and then Mrs. Claus will be reading and helping, it'll be a lot of fun!
The same night that you're going to visit Mrs. Claus, you have their Downtown Parade of Lights going on and that's really beautiful, it's going to start on 17th St. heading down Stone and it will go to Ochoa, and then it does a little kick back over to 13th Street. You can get the route on the Downtown Partnerships website. Remember, anything i'm telling you about or he tells you about or Santa tells you about, you can go to SeeTucsonHomes.com or give me a note at the bottom of this Facebook page and we will link you to all of this stuff!
Also today, at Reid Park, is a Christmas Craft Show, so check that out!
Christmas at the Stillwell House
The Stillwell House has something going on with cookies, crafts, photo booth, and a two-hour interaction with Santa that's on December 10 and and that's from 10 to noon. Also, don't forget December 10 is Second Saturday and it will be crazy down here because you'll have all the Santa stuff going on, you have all of the different events, you got Foxx Theatre, the Rialto... you'll want to check all of these guys websites because they all have stuff going on for the holidays.
Let's talk about a couple things coming up: Tu Nidito is one another one of the beautiful local charities that we have that does amazing things. These are for kids that are grieving the loss of someone and they have a beautiful thing called Camp Erin and they take the kids to camp and these are kids from ages 6 - 17 who've lost someone to death.
They have grief counseling there and they get to do lots of activities, so I want to talk about TuNidito.org because right now there's a state tax where if you donate $400.00, we did it last year with schools; Tu Nidito is one of those places where if you give them four hundred dollars, it actually comes right back to you on your state taxes dollar-for-dollar. It's the perfect way to give money to this great organization, it's a beautiful place. Shout-out to Liz!
Wrapping Up The Presents
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving, I can't believe that it's over already, holy crap that was two days ago! Thank you so much have a great holiday weekend and see you soon! I'm Tony Ray Baker and he's Darren Jones with Tierra Antigua Realty. Have a great day!
