Tupps Brewery Wednesday Night Crit A Race P123 McKinney, Texas
I had the opportunity to taste an “A” Race Crit podium for the first time ever last night! Very small field of 5 but I think that made it more work to stay woke on top of the surging and attacks. Teammate Steve D. put in a ton of hard work by surging and attacking all the way up to the final lap. I lucked out by having the legs to hang onto the D train after putting in a pretty lousy attempt to solo up to the two faster young men ahead of us who were long out of sight. GPS has our final sprint for 3rd at 39.8mph +1,500watts but the Garmin Virb G-Metrix only picked up 34mph on the final run in. It was a good fist fight with pedals and a few good lessons learned for next time.

Tupps Brewery Wednesday Night Crit A Race P123 8/21/2019
Week 6 of 10 in Mckinney Texas participating in the A Race P123. Hard charging field this time reeling in most of the attacks unlike the past few races I did out here. Winning break went off with around 8 to go and by then my legs were burning real good which led to my brain meandering focus from the break which was up the road to just finishing the race and try to get as many points as possible for the team cup standings. My teammate Dodge and I finished 5th and 6th to for a combined 11 points total for the team. Work in progress....train harder...rinse and repeat.
