I travel whenever I get time to travel and people ask me the same question, Why do you travel or why do you waste money on travel and I normally look at their faces that what should I answer them cause anyway they will never get to understand the answer unless you do it yourself. Seeing is believing and I agree with everyone. It's education, exposure, learning, exploring, management, cultures, dealing, problem solving etc.
Life is short, so live it well! Travel, see the world, explore.
Dare to dream. Dare to be different.
Keep uploading, keep travelling.

Ferry boat ride from Macau to Hong Kong, China via HydroFoil TurboJet travel video
Today's feature adventure travel video is of a ferry boat boat ride we took from Macau to Hong Kong, China via HydroFoil TurboJet.
I was excited to take Audrey on this particular HyrdroFoil ferry - a journey that I had completed several years ago when visiting Hong Kong and Macau. Growing up on Vancouver Island, I quite often took BC Ferries from either Nanaimo or Victoria to reach Vancouver. Thus, I've always associated ferries as a means of going somewhere exciting and new. A hydrofoil, is a foil which operates in water referring to a wing-like structure mounted on struts below the hull lifting the craft above the water during forward motion.

Once the watercraft has reached a decent cruising speed, the hydrofoil elements below the hull propel it right out of the water allowing the boat to increase its speed and fuel efficiency.
Taking TurboJet was literally the fastest boat I've ever been on reaching a top speed of 83 kilometers an hour.
Unfortunately the speed and constant swaying back and forth of the watercraft caused Audrey to feel sick to her stomach.
As a general cure all, we ordered some Korean Shin Ramyun noodles and orange juice as a remedy.
Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked as we experienced rain and fog for most of the journey; it cleared up slightly as we arrived in Hong Kong.
The journey itself was less than an hour; typically, we're used to half or full day excursions to get from one place to the next, so this was a welcome change.
We passed a lot of other vessels along the way - both large and small watercrafts - although the reduced visibility due to the weather meant we likely didn't spot as many as we would have had it been a sunny day.
Overall, the journey was pleasant and expedient, as we arrived in Hong Kong earlier than expected given that we were able to board one hour earlier going on standby.
Taking TurboJet is the best way to get from Macau to Hong Kong (or vice versa) given the frequency of departures, length of journey and overall cost.
Our economy tickets cost only $148 Hong Kong dollars (19.08) which we felt represented a very fair price.
One can just show up at the terminal and book a ticket on the spot (which should be no problem except for on weekend or holidays) or book in advance directly from the website - with the option of going on standby if you arrive earlier than your pre-purchased ticket:

Hong Kong Turbojet Premier Plus Service | Walk Through and Review
#hongkong #turbojet #reviews
For our Spain trip in 2018, we had to fly out from Hong Kong airport (most people from Macau fly from HK to major destinations as Macau airport provides very limited options for travelling). HKIA, for me, is usually a pleasant experience, but returning from a long trip can be very hassling and tiring, especially when you still have that journey from HK to Macau to tackle.
This is the 3rd time we've used Premier Plus Service, and I thought I would record most of the process to give people an idea of what this service is like. This was done before the HK-Zhuhai-Macau bridge was officially opened, of course. I am extremely satisfied with this service (it was a seamless connection indeed!), and would most likely use this service again regardless of the bridge and its cheap bus fares to and from HK. The disadvantage of using the bridge is that you have to wheel your own bags yourselves, and there are long walks within HK and Macau terminals. Not recommended for those with heavy bags (if you struggle with heavy bags, of course) , or those travelling with the elderly.
Hope you enjoy this video!

Hong Kong (香港; Fragrant Harbour), officially known as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is a city[9] located on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea.[10] Hong Kong is well known for its expansive skyline, deep natural harbour and extreme population density (some seven million inhabitants over a land mass of 1,104 km2 (426 sq mi)).[11] The current population of Hong Kong comprises 93.6% ethnic Chinese.[5] A major part of Hong Kong's Cantonese-speaking majority originated from the neighbouring Guangdong province,[12] from where many fled during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Chinese Civil War, and the communist rule in China.[13][14][15][16] It was also named the freest market economy by the Heritage Foundation Index of Economic Freedom.[17]
Macau (/məˈkaʊ/; traditional Chinese: 澳門; simplified Chinese: 澳门; Jyutping: ou3mun4*2; pinyin: Àomén), also spelled Macao, is one of the two Special Administrative Regions of the People's Republic of China, the other being Hong Kong. Macau lies on the western side of the Pearl River Delta across from Hong Kong, which is about 64 kilometers to the east, and it is also bordered by Guangdong Province to the north and the South China Sea to the east and south.[8] With an estimated population of around 636,200 living in an area of 30.3 km2 (11.6 sq mi), it is the most densely populated region in the world.[9]
A former Portuguese colony, Macau was administered by Portugal from the mid-16th century until late 1999, when it was the last remaining European colony in Asia.[10][11] Portuguese traders first settled in Macau in the 1550s. In 1557, Macau was rented to Portugal by the Ming Dynasty as a trading port. The Portuguese administered the city under Chinese authority and sovereignty until 1887, when Macau became a colony of the Portuguese Empire. Sovereignty over Macau was transferred back to China on 20 December 1999. The Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration and the Basic Law of Macau stipulate that Macau operate with a high degree of autonomy until at least 2049, fifty years after the transfer.[12]
Under the policy of one country, two systems, the PRC's Central People's Government is responsible for the territory's defense and foreign affairs, while Macau maintains its own legal system, police force, monetary system, customs policy, and immigration policy. Macau participates in many international organizations and events that do not require members to possess national sovereignty.[12][13]
Macau is one of the world's richest cities, and as of 2013 its GDP per capita by purchasing power parity is higher than that of any country in the world, according to the World Bank.[14][15] It became the world's largest gambling centre in 2006,[16] with the economy heavily dependent on gambling and tourism, as well as manufacturing. Cantonese people from Hong Kong and Guangdong, in addition to the recent mainland tourism from Mandarin-speaking regions, have boosted the economy of Macau significantly. According to The World Factbook, Macau has the second highest life expectancy in the world.[17] Moreover, it is one of only a few regions in Asia with a very high Human Development Index, ranking 25th as of 2011.[18]
