Secret cave in Kauai. Swimming with turtles in Kauai at a secret location, Turtle Cave Awesome Hike!
A few years ago, I discovered this secret location on Kauai, Turtle Cave. Since this discovery, I’ve learned a lot about green sea turtles and how special they are. Green sea turtles are one of my favorite creatures on the planet and I have a deep desire to protect them. It may sound selfish, but due to the fact there are so few places Green sea turtles can rest without being disturbed, I feel a responsibility to not disclose this location. I hope you understand. At the same time, I can’t hide my excitement for the experience I had recently on my adventure to turtle cave & had to share. Fortunately, there isn’t a shortage of great places on the island of Kauai to see and swim with green sea turtles. If swimming with sea turtles is high on your priority list, check out my video, where to swim with turtles on Kauai. Here’s the link…
If you follow the advice in this video, I can almost guarantee you'll see Green Sea Turtles. Thanks for watching my adventure to this wonderful secret location in Kauai, Turtle Cave & best of luck to you in your search to find this beautiful animal.

Gorgeous Kauai Vacation Townhouse at Nihilani Resort in Princeville
Hale 'Ohana O Nihilani @ Princeville (meaning 'our family house at Nihilani) is located right by the pool; is in showroom condition, and is the largest townhouse style condo at Nihilani.
Probably the best location in Nihilani - out the door and 35 feet to the swimming pool/recreation complex entrance.
Pure convenience for you and the kids. Inside, you will find a 'furniture showroom' - not previously rented and still almost brand new. Deluxe furnishings include 3 flat-screen digital TVs, time Warner digital cable TV and digital music and 10 MBPS WiFi Internet. Enjoy 200+ channels of digital High Definition TV. With this you get a land line phone with unlimited long distance calling to the 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
On the main floor, a great room concept living room/dining room/kitchen with center granite island creates a welcoming family environment. Solid granite kitchen counter tops/back splash and bamboo hardwood floors on this main floor create an easy to maintain environment. Keep your favorite bottles of wine or drink in the custom wine cooler. Enjoy the large stainless refrigerator/freezer and glass top range. Plenty of cooking and eating utensils for all your needs. The built in microwave/convection oven saves on valuable counter space.
Check in to freshly made beds - a king bed in the MBR, a queen in 2nd bedroom, two twins in the 3rd bedroom and 'kids-only' bunk beds in the den. Sleeps up to 6 adults and two kids (under age 17 - over 16 is an adult for sleeping purposes). The MBR, living room and Queen bedroom have a a whisper quiet tropical design ceiling fan. The 3rd bedroom has a standard ceiling fan.
The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a neatly designed Jack and Jill bath so each room has its own bathroom privacy. The bathroom has a tub/shower with adjustable shower wand.
You will have room for two cars in the garage - it keeps your car out of the tropical sun and those quick evening showers that keep Kauai so lush and green. Inside the garage you will find two bikes (men's and women's), 5 boogie boards, two beach coolers, and six Tommy Bahama sand chairs.
We have an extra set of linens for you and full size washer and dryer should you want to change linens or towels during your stay. The washing machine is one of the newest LG models designed to not only do a great job but minimize electrical costs by extracting far more moisture during the spin cycle.
Inside the condo, you can enjoy true wireless access to the internet no matter what corner you are in.
Our Hale 'Ohana O Nihilani Townhome is a truly relaxing place to kick back with a good book and watch he world go by. Or grab a bike and head out to explore the community. There is a bike/pedestrian trail that goes all the way to the shopping center.
Want to play some golf - you can actually walk to the Makai clubhouse but you would probably prefer to drive with your clubs. The south side of the Nihilani complex borders the Makai course a few hundred feet away. Off load your clubs at the starter shack and then park you car in the convenient lot just across the road. Its about a one-minute drive to the Makai course. For a change of pace, try the Princeville course - about a 3-4 minute drive. Same great service and both course offer some awesome ocean views.
Like the beach - who doesn't - Hanalei is one of our favorites - thousands of feet of beach (remember the movie 'The Descendents' or 'South Pacific', and free parking, fresh water and bathrooms all included. If the kids don't like the surf, take them to Anini beach - the double reef protected beach is surf free. Just want to go to the pool or have a cook out with our free gas BBQ -- go out your front door and 35 feet later, you are entering our outdoor recreation complex (see pictures). This truly relaxing place has a waterfall and is one of the more attractively designed pools on the north shore.
Nihilani is one of the youngest condo complexes on the north shore having been built in 2006 and first occupied in 2007. The grounds are extremely well maintained and have probably the most attractive landscaping of all the condo complexes on the north shore. Enjoy a relaxing walk up to the shopping center or to the golf course. Or how about a walk along the edge of the golf course or out to the ocean bluff. You can walk through the homes of the Princeville community or you can even walk down to the Saint Regis Hotel (which also has a really nice public beach and is a great place to watch the sunset over evening cocktails). You can even walk to the Westin resort - both hotels offer fine restaurants, dining, and bar hopping - whatever pleases you.
In summary, make our 2100 square foot townhouse your home away from home, kick off your shoes (outside please) and enjoy some island life. If Hawaii is a paradise (and it is), Kauai is truly a garden paradise. For more information or to book your stay, visit:

4K Drone & GoPro Footage - Hanalei Bay / Kauai, Hawaii
Spent a couple days filming in the North Shore of Kauai recently. The weather was a bit gloomy at times but attempted to bring to life with some color grading in post production. The Hanalei pier is so iconic. Glad Im able to see it first hand and share with the world! Aloha

Carole & Mikaila Kauai Trip 2019
SEE BELOW FOR PLACES & COMPANIES WE USED IS IN THE VIDEO
My mom and I went to Kauai this year for the holiday season to get away, and let me tell you that this place is actual paradise. We were fortunate enough to get to do so many things and saw almost everything I wanted to while there. Below are the things seen in the video, and the companies we booked each of the excursions through.
00:24- Drive up Waimea Canyon and stop at multiple of the lookout points along the drive.
00:59- Helicopter ride over most of the main sights in Kauai. This was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip! We booked with Sunshine helicopters.
02:03- Stopped at a beach on the west side of the island Kekaha beach. It rained a lot while we were there but the locals let us in on a secret that when all the rest of the island is rainy, the west side is almost always dry so we stopped of at the beach there multiple times.
02:28- I can't rave enough about how fun this tubing excursion was!!! We went on a day that was a bit rainy but that didn't take away from how awesome it was. It was booked through Kauai Backcountry Adventures.
03:25- It was POURING rain but it didn't stop us from going on the awesome biplane tour through the Kauai mountains. We booked with Skyline Eco-Adventures, they were awesome and the scenery was breathtaking
04:45- Walking along the beach in Kapa'a!
05:06- When going to Hawaii you have to get the Hawaiian experience and go to a Luau. We went to the one at the Grand Hyatt and it was so much fun. The tickets are quite pricey so be warned, but the food was incredible and the performances were amazing!
05:33- The kayak and hike to the secret falls was one of my favorite days on the trip. You rent a kayak at Kamokila Hawaiian village, be warned that the kayak rentals sell out super super quickly so make sure to be there right when they open. you kayak up the river a little ways, park the kayak on the sand, and the hike to the secret falls. The hike is pretty crazy because you are going through rivers and the trail gets super muddy, but boy is the end view worth it!!!!
07:34- Day at Hanalei Bay and surf town! This is a super popular part of the island because there are a ton of cute shops, eateries, an a nice calm bay where you can paddle board and walk out onto the pier.
08:29- visit to Maniniholo Dry Cave and walk along tunnels beach!
09:01- Awaawapuhi Trail in koke'e state park! This was definitely a challenging hike, but the view at the end was absolutely breathtaking!!!
09:27- Catameran Snorkeling cruise with the company Captain Andy's. The sailors were incredible on this cruise! I can't rave enough about their professionalism, and just being down right awesome! The food on the trip was so good too, and I got to SWIM WITH SEA TURTLES!!!!!! A huge highlight of the trip for me!
A few honorary mentions that didn't make it into the video but were amazing are:
-Snorkeling at Poipu beach
-Snorkeling at Anini Beach
-Kapa'a for their food trucks(especially the shaved ice) and little shopping

Kauai Luxury Vacation Villa in Princeville at Hanalei Bay
From the moment you arrive, you immediately sense the Aloha spirit and the otherworldliness of Kauai's North Shore; Hanalei Bay Villas' surroundings are stunning and beyond beautiful. The unique charm, ideal location, dramatic beauty, and peaceful serenity provide an island experience to be treasured.
Hanalei Bay Villas #29, a private free standing home, is ideally situated above a tree top canopy revealing expansive views of the awe-inspiring North Shore Mountains adorned with waterfalls and often rainbows. The home also opens onto an ocean bluff, within sight and smell of the sea.
Just beyond the front door is a grassy overlook considered the best location on the island to view the Bali Hi sunset; provides an ideal vantage point to witness humpback whales breaching and world class surfers in the breaks just off the coastline. Of course, the sparkling Pacific colors are always spectacular and, at times, you are likely to see dolphins, sea turtles, and an occasional monk seal.
There are three beautiful public beaches within close walking distance. A hiking trail leads to Pali Ke Kua Beach which is a long, beautiful stretch of beach divided by a rock outcropping. During calm seas you can swim around the outcropping to what is known as Hideaways (seen on the aerial photo directly below the villa); a great snorkeling cove. Puu Poa Beach on Hanalei Bay, a picturesque white sand beach located in front of the St Regis Hotel, can be accessed by a 191 step staircase or via resort elevator. During low tide you can wade across the Hanalie River to Hanalei Pier & Beach Pavilion. Here you can rent kayaks, boogie boards, surf boards, and standup paddle boards.
Within the Princeville community you will also find a jogging path, Queen's Bath trailhead, Sea Lodge Beach, The Prince and Makai golf courses, healthy club and spa, tennis and basketball courts, restaurants, library, playground, shave ice and ice cream stand, boutiques, post office, and grocery store.
Truly, all the wonders of the North Shore are within two-twelve scenic miles of the villa; including many more fabulous beaches, Kalalau Trailhead, the quaint town of Hanalei, Tunnels, Limahuli National Tropical Botanical Garden, 'Anini Beach Park, Secret Beach, Kilauea Lighthouse...
This completely remodeled home includes state of the art kitchen, contemporary baths, new flooring, tasteful high-end furnishings, and luxurious bedding.
