Perhentian Island - PIR Beach & Turtle Point
today is our 1st full day in perhentian island, we start by heading to PIR beach & turtle point.
To get around perhentian is really easy, all you need to do is get a taxi boat to any beaches or resorts which is very cheap and fast.
On arriving to PIR beach we noticed how much of a paradise the beaches are here at perhentian. The water around this island is the clearest and best water we have ever seen, this place literally is the maldives of malaysia.
Perhentian has so much to offer people from the best snorkeling you will find with the clearest water with the chances to see white tip sharks and manta rays and sea turtles just by snorkeling.
This is also the perfect holiday destination that offers maldives level of paradise and a very affordable price its absolutely beautiful.
You can also do island hopping hear to!
There is also a ''party island'' which is were you go to drink with the crowd and see a lot more hustle and bustle with music on.
If you want plush hotels and paradise then perhentian island in Malaysia is your place.

Perhentian Islands - Sun. Beach. Sea. Paradise
The one with an adventure on one of Malaysia's most beautiful islands, a little bit of paradise on Earth.
The last time we were here, we did nothing but eat and sleep. This time, we made sure to soak up all that the island had to offer - from sunrise hikes, to sipping sunset cocktails, and snorkeling adventures.
Thank you, Bubu Resort, for a beautiful stay and a sea view every morning. Thanks to our amazing snorkel guide without whom it wouldn't have been as much fun (I wished I remembered their names). Also a shout out to the Beach Bar for your amazing cocktails and fire shows - definitely the best place on the beach to hang out every night.

Rare daytime green sea turtle hatching, Pulau Perhentian Besar, July 18, 2017
Sea turtles usually hatch and scramble to the sea under the protection of nighttime darkness. They are very vulnerable to predators during this scramble. I was able to witness a rare daytime green sea turtle hatching at the Bubbles Turtle & Reef Conservation Project on July 18, 2017. The baby turtles at the bottom of the nest were covered in ants, which the volunteers and interns picked one by one with tweezers from their bodies. I wonder it that's why they hatched during the day: to get out of the ant-infested nest before they got eaten alive.
Perhentian Turtle Season 2018
My time on Perhentian with a great team working on a turtle conservation project. An amazing season with some amazing people. Conducting night patrols and snorkel surveys to monitor the population whilst raising awareness by encouraging international and local volunteers to come and help us conduct our research. Leading beach clean ups and raising awareness locally and globally.
