Best day trip from Florence - Lucca!
Day trips from Florence are a great way to see Tuscany!
We chose to visit Lucca and spent an amazing day exploring the historic, charming and character-filled town. There’s tons to see and do - and eat! - in #Lucca. We recommend renting a bike - there are many places to do this, all are easy to find - and riding around the medieval ramparts; tasting some of the best gelato in Italy and climbing the Guinigi tower. You won’t be disappointed!
Lucca is also the perfect place to wander through quiet piazzas. Check out some of the highlights from our visit to #italy in 2017!

ITALY ROAD TRIP VLOG: PART TWO - ROME TO TUSCANY
HELEN and SIMON are travel bloggers from the UK – this is PART TWO of a 14-day road trip adventure around Italy. After visiting Venice and Rome, we’re hitting the road in a Spaceships camper car to Viterbo and the gorgeous coastal area of Castiglione della Pescaia, before winding through the olive groves of the Tuscan countryside en route to beautiful Florence. All the details on where we went, what we did and where we stayed are below.
DON'T MISS …coming up in PART THREE…Lucca, Pisa, the Cinque Terre National Park and Tarquinia Beach.
Hi everyone! We wanted to explore a bit of gorgeous Italy and travelling in a cosy campervan was the most affordable and flexible option! We picked up our camper car in Rome from Spaceships Rentals (prices below) and it was an amazing way to see this stunning country. It was my first visit to Italy and I can't WAIT to go back! I would love to hear your comments on where else in Italy we should see! Happy Travels, Helen

TRAVEL TUSCANY - FLORENCE, LUCCA, PISA & SIENA, ITALY ????????
Tuscany is absolutely stunning, as everyone always knows by now. I stayed in Florence for a total of one week, but I was still able to fit in 3 other cities on top of it! One of the trips was both Lucca and then Pisa in one day via trains, then Siena the next day via buses.
I hope you guys liked this short segment of my ongoing travels!

Italian Road Trip - From Tuscany to Positano
Celine and I drove from Lucca in north Tuscany to Positano. It is a 7 hour drive s0 we split it over two days and made a road trip put of it. We spent some time exploring: we stopped to see some Etruscan Tombs, the biggest crater lake in Europe, Orvieto and a spa hotel!

A full week in Tuscany, Italy, summed up in 3 minutes! Tuscany is one of the most amazing regions in all of Italy. It's main city, Florence, is packed with history, art and culture. The food, the atmosphere - all incredible. We spent 2 days roaming around the city of Florence with a rental bike - we visited the duomo, the Palazzo Pitti, the Baboli Garden, the Uffizi Gallery... and watched the sunset over piazza Michelangelo (which is not to miss!) Our day tour in San Gimignano, Siena and wine tasting in Chianti were sweet taste of the countryside part of Tuscany. The last 3 days we spent in Pisa. We spent a day in Lucca - a very traditional, fortified, little town with amazing views. We gave a little visit to Livorno to watch the sunset, and the food is incredible! A pure taste of the ocean. A 2 hour drive from Pisa, Cinque Terre - 5 little towns connected to each other via train - a busy touristic spot, most beautiful of all - Manarola, the views are unbelievable. Last but not least, Pisa - nothing to see much except for the tower and the church beside it, but still, you gotta see, lean and take the photo!
Road Tripping Through Tuscany
From the Etruscans to the Romans to the Renaissance, Tuscany is possibly the greatest repository of art in the world, from extraordinary paintings and sculpture to frescoes and architectural masterpieces.
Visitors to Tuscany come for many reasons. Our Tuscan adventure began in the Chianti region starting with Greve in Chianti, supposedly one of the main attractions in the area. To our dismay Greve was rather uneventful, and lacked the typical medieval Tuscan feel that we were hoping for.

4 DAYS IN TUSCANY: Florence, Siena, Chianti Wine Tasting, and more!
Tuscany was our second stop in our 20-day babymoon in Italy! We used Siena and Florence as our base for travel to the surrounding countryside. From Siena, we joined a small group tour and visited Monterrigioni, San Gimignano, and Volterra. From Florence, we joined a wine tasting tour that took us to wineries of both Florentine and Sienese Chianti Classico wines and to the small towns of Greve and Castellina. Tuscany was gorgeous!
