Cardrona Village - Speed and Signage Problems

Cardrona Village in the Scottish Borders has a new cycle path running through it from Peebles to Innerleithen. However, the signage and speed limits are not conducive to a safe environment for all road users especially as one enters into the village from the main road.

The Union Bridge - the River Tweed

My walk to the Union Bridge west of Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

During my caravanning holiday in East Ord I walked north and south along the River Tweed between Berwick and the Union Bridge.

I love crossing bridges and walking along paths I have never walked before - it's an adventure.

Make Poverty History Bikeride in Peebles

On the last day of the Make Poverty History bikeride from London to Edinburgh the group made one last stop in Peebles, Scotland before reaching their destination.

Thursday 10th September saw the first public run of steam hauled railtours over the newly (re-)opened Borders Railway (Waverley Route) from Edinburgh though the Scottish Lowlands to Tweedbank.
In this video we see a shot of the train being passed by the Scotrail 158 DMU I was on just outside of Edinburgh Waverley at Craigentinny TMD followed by arrival and departure shots from Galashiels Railway Station.
