Cruise Line Updates Regarding Seattle Jamaica Virgin Voyages Viking Cruises San Juan and Pickle Ball
Cruise Line Updates Regarding Seattle Jamaica Virgin Voyages Viking Cruises San Juan and Pickle Ball The Alaska Cruise season is about to begin and Seattle is ready to recieve a record number of cruisers. Last year over 1 million passengers and their luggage came through town and brought lots of cash to spend in the area. Hotels, airports, rental car agencies, restaurants and all those
Starbucks locations welcomed the tourists with open arms. The new Norwegian Bliss will make Seattle it's home for the summer season and 4000 passengers a week will climb onboard this new ship and enjoy all of it's new features. Jamaica has just set a new record for tourist visits, but the country remains under a state of emergency. Cruise passengers can only visit private isolated ports with armed security guards present as the large cities and the countryside is too unstable for visitors. Virgin Voyages meanwhile has had to stop accepting $500 cruise deposits for it's first ship out of Miami in 2020 due to demand. The cruise line will focus all of it's energies towards a younger aged crowd but not allow anyone under 18 to board. The demographic seems to be 25 to 50. Lots of activities are planned for each cruise out of Miami to the Caribbean. Viking Cruises has a sale on right now for those passengers who enjoy a quiete cruise. You can get free airfare to the ship from all major airports in the US plus a few from Canada if you reserve an 8 day cruise in the caribbean for Nov 2018. These cruises depart from San Juan Puerto Rico and that might explain why there is a deal offered for these cruises. San Juan is still in a fragile state from the Hurricanes last fall and flights in and out are dicey. Attention all Pickle Ball Players! Holland America, Princess, and Regent Cruises have installed Pickle Ball courts onnboard their ships and within 2 years almost all cruise lines will have pickle ball onboard. It is becoming a very popular sport among the 50 and older crowd.

Cruise Ship Private Island vs Exploring a Caribbean Island On Your Own
Cruise Ship Private Island vs Exploring a Caribbean Island On Your Own Which is the better way to go? If you get off a cruise ship in a Caribbean port, you can explore the local lay of the lnd, but you may be subjected to unwanted advances from locals trying to sell you something. If you only visit private islands or cays operated by the cruise lines, you may become bored with the lack of local culture, but you will enjoy security and a fun setting for a day out with your children.

Arthur (2011)
Kind-hearted, fun-loving, and utterly without purpose, Arthur spends every day in the heedless pursuit of amusement. But when his unpredictable public image threatens the staid reputation of the family foundation, Bach Worldwide, he is given an ultimatum: marry the beautiful but decidedly unlovable Susan Johnson (Jennifer Garner), an ambitious corporate exec who can keep him in line, or say goodbye to his billion-dollar inheritance and the only way of life he knows. It's a deal Arthur would be inclined to take...if he hadn't just fallen for Naomi (Greta Gerwig), a New York City tour guide who shares his idealism and spontaneity. All he needs to do is stand up for what he wants. But at what cost? With some unconventional help from Hobson (Helen Mirren)--the one person who always believed he could do anything--Arthur will take the most expensive risk of his life and learn what it means to become a man.

AAS Eclipse Workshop 2017
On 21 August 2017, a total eclipse of the Sun will cross the United States from coast to coast, giving tens of millions of people in a 70-mile-wide path from Oregon to South Carolina a chance to see the solar corona and experience all phases of the eclipse. The Moon's shadow will sweep across the country starting mid morning in Oregon with just under two minutes of totality and reaching maximum duration of approximately 2 minutes 40 seconds in Southern Illinois before exiting over South Carolina mid afternoon.
Outside the path of totality, all of North America will experience a partial eclipse. This event, the first total solar eclipse to touch the US mainland since 1979 and the first to span the continent since 1918, presents a unique opportunity to excite people about science and connect them personally to the cosmos, as well as to conduct several important scientific observations. We are a working group dedicated to the science and public outreach of this unique event.
The Eclipse 2017 Workshop IV took place in Carbondale, Illinois, on Friday and Saturday, 10 and 11 June 2016, at the SIU Carbondale Student Center, hosted by Bob Baer and Shadia Habbal.

Dracula by Bram Stoker | Full Audiobook with Subtitles | Part 1 of 2
Dracula (version 3)
Bram STOKER
Famous for introducing the character of the vampire Count Dracula, the novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so he may find new blood and spread the undead curse, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.
Although Stoker did not invent the vampire, he defined its modern form, and the novel has spawned numerous theatrical, film and television interpretations. - Summary by wikipedia

[Unabridged] The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath is a novella by H. P. Lovecraft (1890--1937). Begun probably in the autumn of 1926, it was completed in on January 22, 1927 and was unpublished in his lifetime. It is both the longest of the stories that comprise his Dream Cycle and the longest Lovecraft work to feature protagonist Randolph Carter. Along with his 1927 novel The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, it can be considered one of the significant achievements of that period of Lovecraft's writing.
The Dream-Quest combines elements of horror and fantasy into an epic tale that illustrates the scope and wonder of humankind's ability to dream.

Auburn Coach Wife Kristi Malzahn Agrees with Match & eHarmony: Men are Jerks
My advice is this: Settle! That's right. Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling Bravo! in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go. Based on my observations, in fact, settling will probably make you happier in the long run, since many of those who marry with great expectations become more disillusioned with each passing year. (It's hard to maintain that level of zing when the conversation morphs into discussions about who's changing the diapers or balancing the checkbook.)
Obviously, I wasn't always an advocate of settling. In fact, it took not settling to make me realize that settling is the better option, and even though settling is a rampant phenomenon, talking about it in a positive light makes people profoundly uncomfortable. Whenever I make the case for settling, people look at me with creased brows of disapproval or frowns of disappointment, the way a child might look at an older sibling who just informed her that Jerry's Kids aren't going to walk, even if you send them money. It's not only politically incorrect to get behind settling, it's downright un-American. Our culture tells us to keep our eyes on the prize (while our mothers, who know better, tell us not to be so picky), and the theme of holding out for true love (whatever that is—look at the divorce rate) permeates our collective mentality.
Even situation comedies, starting in the 1970s with The Mary Tyler Moore Show and going all the way to Friends, feature endearing single women in the dating trenches, and there's supposed to be something romantic and even heroic about their search for true love. Of course, the crucial difference is that, whereas the earlier series begins after Mary has been jilted by her fiancé, the more modern-day Friends opens as Rachel Green leaves her nice-guy orthodontist fiancé at the altar simply because she isn't feeling it. But either way, in episode after episode, as both women continue to be unlucky in love, settling starts to look pretty darn appealing. Mary is supposed to be contentedly independent and fulfilled by her newsroom family, but in fact her life seems lonely. Are we to assume that at the end of the series, Mary, by then in her late 30s, found her soul mate after the lights in the newsroom went out and her work family was disbanded? If her experience was anything like mine or that of my single friends, it's unlikely.
And while Rachel and her supposed soul mate, Ross, finally get together (for the umpteenth time) in the finale of Friends, do we feel confident that she'll be happier with Ross than she would have been had she settled down with Barry, the orthodontist, 10 years earlier? She and Ross have passion but have never had long-term stability, and the fireworks she experiences with him but not with Barry might actually turn out to be a liability, given how many times their relationship has already gone up in flames. It's equally questionable whether Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, who cheated on her kindhearted and generous boyfriend, Aidan, only to end up with the more exciting but self-absorbed Mr. Big, will be better off in the framework of marriage and family. (Some time after the breakup, when Carrie ran into Aidan on the street, he was carrying his infant in a Baby Björn. Can anyone imagine Mr. Big walking around with a Björn?)
