Two Lovers Point in Tumon Bay Guam
easily the most known attraction in Guam where many tourists leave momentos of luggage tags shaped like hearts at the reataining wall in the tower as a sign of their undying love.

The Legend of Puntan Dos Amantes (Two Lovers Point)
Once long ago, in the time when Spain ruled Guam, there was a proud family living in Hagatna, the capital city. The father was a wealthy Spanish aristocrat and the mother was the daughter of a great Chamorro chief. The family owned land and were highly esteemed by all, Chamorro and Spanish alike.
Their daughter was a beautiful girl, admired by all for her honesty, modesty, and perfectly natural charm. Her beauty bestowed the greatest pride and dignity unto her family.
One day, the girl's father arranged for her to take a powerful Spanish captain as her husband. When the girl discovered this, she was so distraught that she ran from Hagatna all the way to the north of Guam until she found a secluded and peaceful shore.
There, on the moonlit shore, she met and fell in love with a young warrior from a very modest Chamorro family. He was gentle, with a strong build, and had eyes that search for meaning in the stars.
When the girl's father learned of the two lovers, he grew angry and demanded that she marry the Spanish captain at once. That day at sundown, she stole away to the same high point along the shore, and once again met her Chamorro lover.
Her father, the captain, and all the Spanish soldiers pursued the lovers up to the high cliff above Tumon Bay. The lovers found themselves trapped between the edge of the cliff and the approaching soldiers. All the young warrior could do was warn them to stay back, and the father ordered the soldiers to halt.

The lovers tied their long black hair into a single knot. And acting as if they were entirely alone, they looked deeply into each other's eyes and kissed for the final time. Then they leaped over the long, deep cliff into the roaring waters below.
Her father and all who remained rushed to the edge to stare in great anguish.
Since that day, Chamorros have looked to the jutting peak above Tumon Bay with reverence. The two lovers remain a symbol of true love--a love in which two souls are entwined forever in life and in death. Forever after, the high point on the cliff was known as Two Lovers Point.

Exploring Guam Two Lovers Point
Exploring Guam Two Lovers Point, I visited Two Lovers Point where the folktale takes place. There is a large bronze sculpture of the two and there are some pretty nice views of Tumon Bay. Gift shops and from what I have been told a really good restaurant. They sell hearts and locks that you can write on and lock them to the fence to show your love.

Puntan Dos Amantes is Guam’s most famous visitor attraction. It is frequented by more people than any other attraction on Guam. Its profile at the northern end of Tumon Bay rises 368 feet from the reef below, offering views of both the eastern and western sides of the island. Its position provides those that venture to the site a unique view of the mountainous volcanic geography of the south and the level limestone plateau of northern Guam. ????????????????????????????????????????????

Two Lovers Point is located at Tumon Bay, Guam. There is a Chamorro legend about a couple who loved each other very much but her parents would not allow them to marry because of social status differences. Eventually, both of them tied their hair together and jumped to their deaths from the 378-foot cliff.
From the viewing deck, it is a remarkable view of the island of Guam, white sandy beach and the ocean view of the Philippines Sea. Beautiful sunset can be seen from this place. Many lovers bought two lovers point padlocks and locked them on the fence of the gazebo to declare their love with the hope that their love would last forever. A wedding chapel is also available.

Two Lovers Point park today
Today, throughout “Puntan Dos Amantes,” or Two Lovers Point, are architectural elements reminiscent of Chamorro styles. A central monument carved in granite and marble uses five languages and a masterful storyboard to depict its legend. Two Lovers Point – for good reason – is also a popular location for weddings.
The site features two tiered lookout points that offer a dramatic view of the Philippine Sea and breathtaking Tumon Bay. From the top, it is a 400-foot drop to the crashing waves below. Visitors can walk the plunging face of the cliff on walkways that hug and hang over the jagged rock. There are also telescopes for long range views of the ocean and Guam’s western coastline. The site is designed for complete safety and handicap access, making it suitable for every kind of visitor and every group size.
Two Lovers Point is open daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Park Admission is $3 per person (children 6 and under are free).

The last night I was in Guam I found a place called Two Lover's Point. The cliff gets its name because of two lovers who, forbidden from being together in life, leaped to their deaths from the cliff side so they could be together in eternity. The area overlooks the Philippine Sea. This is about a 2 hour time lapse.

Scootoring through Two Lovers Point Guam
Recorded on February 19, 2011 using Flip Video camcorder. Two Lover's Point is a favorite Guam tourist location, that looks out onto Tumon Bay. Sunsets are especially beautiful to view due to its west facing view and because it is located a few hundred feet up on an ocean cliff. After visiting Two Lover's Point, we headed into Tumon Bay which is where the majority of Guam's hotels and high end stores and restaurants are located. Rich Japanese tourists come to Tumon Bay to shop for high end products such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Tiffany's, Cartier, and Burger King.
