Inspired by the renowned architects Richard Neutra and Harry Seidler, this striking family home was created ‘for a large family to live comfortably and elegantly in a sub-tropical climate while enriching strong family values’ within the exclusive Dewar Terrace. This goal was not only met, but exceeded as this riverfront residence draws on inspiration from California Modernist style to create a laid back yet elegant family home that invites living and entertaining across all scales.
Upon entering this significant property via a bespoke gate, you are greeted by vertical gardens which line a polished concrete path, original sandstone rock garden beds, a vast lawn area and a sparkling, fully tiled swimming pool and cast concrete benchseat.
Entering the home through a huge steel and glass front door, the split level floor plan was built around central living areas, allowing multiple rooms to open up to this expansive outdoor space.
Perfectly balanced, it encourages the family to take full advantage of both indoor and outdoor areas throughout the year.
Dazzling riverfront views can be enjoyed from the expansive living areas which feature an alluring fireplace.
The kitchen features Bianca Vernato marble benchtops with three ovens, two dishwashers, separate butler’s scullery with fold-back windows, spilling onto the outdoor living area which features a fireplace, barbeque and wine fridge.
Your guests will be captivated by the river views and gardens, complemented by a mesmerising pool.
This home exudes charm, boasting an original library with brick wood fireplace.
A lavish master retreat is in a desirable east facing position.
It features gorgeous breezes, pure wool carpet, walk-in robe and ensuite with quality cabinetry, Elbastone marble, freestanding bath, double shower and bespoke towel rails.
Subtle interiors combine such materials as glass, timber and bespoke handcrafted steel work and sandstone detailing to create an ‘international style, circa 1960s’ with a ‘cool, calm and collected’ vibe.
Altogether six spacious bedrooms and four well appointed bathrooms. The beauty of the home extends beyond the interiors with a sprawling allotment with terraced and levelled rear garden, that will see many relaxed weekends with family and friends. A landscaped walkway leads down to the boat pontoon.
Beyond the confines of this prominent position, the estate offers a peaceful resort style escape.
Centrally located, this desirable address will suit families and executives who appreciate the best of riverside living.
Well positioned, close to public transport including bus and train
transport, this home is within walking distance to public and private schools, restaurants, cafés and shops.

T4 is a proposed massive new coal terminal in Newcastle, NSW. At full capacity, T4 would ship out 120 million tonnes of coal per annum. This would equate to a tripling of the size of the coal port.
