Berkeley Marina, Berkeley, CA
Berkeley Marina is located in the westernmost portion of the City of Berkeley, California.
It is the harbour used by many of the Bay Area's yachtsmen and yachtswomen. When including the surrounding parks, Berkeley Marina is also one of the largest urban greenspaces in Bay Area.
Aside from the yacht harbour and the green parks, there are also areas to fish, and an adventure playground for children. The fishing pier also provides a grand view of the San Francisco Bay.

One of the over 2000 rare/endangered plants is the giant Andean bromeliad Puya raimondii. This has only very rarely bloomed in a Garden (the first was in Berkeley in 1986). The current plant, only 24 yrs old is the youngest ever recorded to bloom. It has been growing for 4 months and seem to still be at it.
The Berkeley & Emeryville Roadtrip: UC Berkeley's Botanical Garden P2
Our road-trip to the East Bay was very awesome.
PART 1: Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe
I wanted to have a Green Day related trip so I suggested we eat at Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe, co-owned by Mike Dirnt. Let me tell you, this place won't fail you.
PART 2: UC Berkeley's Botanical Garden
We went here for some sight-seeing besides the university's campus itself. It would have been better in the spring.

5 Top-Rated Places to Visit in Berkeley, USA
Renowned for its prestigious university and appreciated for its offbeat Bohemian spirit, Berkeley is a stimulating place to visit. The university's inspiring Neoclassical buildings stand loftily in a woodsy hilltop location overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Although this idyllic setting feels completely removed from the world, the campus was the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement and the renegade hippie counterculture of the 1960s. Chaotic and bustling Sproul Plaza continues to be an intense scene of student activity: Students, social activists, and drummers still gather here to express themselves in ways that are impossible to ignore. Besides being an intellectual center, Berkeley is a hub for entertainment and gourmet dining. The local organic food movement began here in the '70s with Chez Panisse, a delightful French-California style bistro that's an obligatory stop for foodies. Tourists can enjoy a delicious meal in the Gourmet Ghetto and then watch a world-class performance at one of Berkeley's award-winning theaters. Nature lovers also have a good reason to visit: The city's gorgeous parks and botanical gardens offer spectacular floral displays and stunning panoramic views. Let's see five best places to visit in Berkeley, California.
1. U.C. Berkeley
2. Gourmet Ghetto
3. Lawrence Hall of Science
4. Tilden Park
5. Botanical Garden

Faces of Berkeley
We took to the streets of Berkeley to ask people of all walks of life (UC Berkeley students and faculty, as well as city residents) how they would describe themselves in one word, what they would change about the city, what makes them unique and what they are passionate about. Images include window art of Amoeba Music on Telegraph (opening scene) , People's Park, Sather Gate, Sproul Plaza and the GBC.
