Japan vacation Ueno farm
Ueno Farm (上野ファーム) is a popular farm garden in Nagayama located in the northeastern part of Asahikawa city, and has been a farmer since 1906. Ms. Sayuki Ueno (上野砂由紀), a gardener, made a Hokkaido-style garden suited for climate and natural features of Hokkaido as the foundation for an English-style garden at their site and the garden has been opened to public since 2001. More than 2,000 types of flowering plants are planted at about 1.3 ha of the site, and visitors can enjoy various flowers from a spring to an autumn. Open period is from late April to mid October. Admission fee is JPY 800. A parking lot is free of charge. NAYA cafe is built at the site, and opens a business through the year.

The 250-kilometer highway from Asahikawa to Obihiro passes close to eight notable gardens. That is why it has come to be called the Hokkaido Garden Path. Each garden has its own individual character, setting, and vegetation.
Anthony Wood is a photographer from the United States who has lived in Japan for 10 years. His home state, Minnesota, has vast and abundant nature, much like Hokkaido. At the beginning of this trip, Anthony focuses his camera mostly on the beautiful flowers in full bloom. Rokka-no Mori Rokka-no Mori This landscape-type garden was opened by a long established Hokkaido-based confectionery maker, Rokkatei. The aim was to create a scenery inspired by the designs of wild flowers and plants on the wrapping paper that the company has used since the old days.
