The Russian National Anthem is played before a Salavat Yulaev pre-season game. I missed the first part of the anthem unfortunately. You've probably heard it a thousand times already anyway!

KHL All Star Game is an annual game featuring the best players of Kontinental Hockey League.
Kontinental Hockey League is the highest hockey league in Russia. It is grew up from Russian Hockey League (RHL). It is founded in 2008 when professional hockey teams of RHL joined the teams from other countries. Today these are the teams from Belarus, Kazakstan, Croatia, Finland, Latvia, Slovakia and China.
Today, KHL is a premier professional ice hockey league in Europe and Asia. After NHL, it is the next largest league in the World.
At the 22nd of January, 2017, KHL All Star Game was hosted in Ufa, Russia. For the first time of the history of the city. It went at Ufa Arena, the main ice hockey arena in Ufa.
Also, for the first time in a history of KHL, All Star Game had a new format.
Instead of traditional game of Eastern Conference between Western Conference, there were the games against Divisions of KHL.
In Kontinental Hockey League divisions are named after the most famous and professional Soviet Union players - Kharlamov, Tarasov, Bobrov and Chernyshev.
It was like a semi-final between teams of divisions and the winners got to Final game.
So, for one day they played three games at once. For this reason, the time of games was changed too. The time of each game was limited to only two 10-minute periods in format of 4x4 with no permission for body-checking.
