The Umbrella Rock, as the name means, is a rock found at the site of the Boti Falls in Yilo Krobo District, Ghana. Its size is well okay to shelter up to about 12 to 15 people at once. Even though the pivot on which the top rock lies on might seem small, its very strong and have not been able to pull and/or push down with manpower.
Yearly, many Tourists make it to the Boti Falls to have a feel of nature, without leaving the umbrella rock from sight.

It was such an intense hike to this point in the mountains, but this guy still managed to blar music from a massive speaker attached to his back like a backpack the whole way up. And once we got to the top, it was a party!

A Tourist in My Own Country- Koforidua
Did my research about Koforidua and i very curious about The Umbrella Rock. During my visit i met Prince the taxi driver and he was very cool. We clicked immediately so he brought his friend along Valis. Our first trip was to Akaa Falls then we walked to the Three in One Palm tree. Intresting thing to know about the Palm Tree is there a stone there where u can place a coin on. They say for many years the stone has provided many jobs to the jobless and given women in need of a child many opportunities to be mothers. The Umbrella Rock, Its size is well okay to shelter up to about 12 to 15 people at once. Even though the pivot on which the top rock lies on might seem small, its very strong and have not been able to pull and/or push down with manpower. Boti Falls is located just 17km North-east of Koforidua, the eastern regional capital. For those interested in how soon it takes to get there, it is just over 30 minutes drive from Koforidua and over 90 minutes from Accra depending on your means of transportation.
There are actually two falls at Boti: The upper falls and the lower falls. These are the main features of the Boti Falls (what has widely been talked about is the lower falls). The locals describe it as male and female (this description is for the lower falls only). When the volume of water is high especially during the rainy season, the two meet in what the local describe as ‘a mating ceremony’. This ceremony is ‘graced’ by the rainbow that is formed by the splashing water.
