Umeda Sky Building, Osaka, Japan
Umeda Sky Building (梅田スカイビル), part of New Umeda City, is one of Osaka's most recognizable icons and is the 12th tallest building in Osaka. The 40 story building comprises the Floating Garden Observatory which is a popular tourist attraction of Osaka.
Rising 40-stories (173m) in the air, you can get an excellent bird's eye view of the sprawling metropolis at the Floating Garden Observatory as well as the roof-top observatory. At the basement you may find a Showa Period themed restaurant mall.
This building, completed in 1993 can easily be accessed from Osaka Station and Umeda Station.

There are complex, mysterious underground shopping malls in Umeda: the central city near Dotonbori or Shinsaibashi in Osaka.
Even local people hardly know the whole picture, and they are called Umeda dungeons .
This time, I walked three huge underground malls with nonstop.

- After exit the 3rd floor exit, right side (Central North) exit is for Grandfront Osaka (shopping dept.), Yodobashi camera, Sky building, etc. Left side is for Daimaru dept., Water clock, etc. If exit to right, then take another up escalator, you'll find Conan cafe (Japanese anime character theme cafe) and open space. then take two more long escalators, you'll reach very nice observation platform.

Umeda Sky Building is the nineteenth-tallest building in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. It consists of two 40-story towers that connect at their two uppermost stories, with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center.
Takimi-Koji is a replica of a small street from 1920s Osaka, reconstructed at the basement floor of the Umeda Sky Building. It features restaurants, small shops and even a small Inari shrine, creating a romantic atmosphere suggesting the early Shōwa period.

Konbawa minna-san! ~ I have finally moved from Tokyo to Osaka in Japan. Took the bullet train for the first time and it was super fast! Toured around Osaka into Umeda. I even got to head to the Umeda Sky building and it was super amazing! I was able to try the yummy sweets and desserts here. Kyaaaa. ~ I hope you like my little journey that I'm taking you here. Osaka, Japan: A Fast Walk Through the North Umeda Area
Using the subway systems in Japan is hysterically funny. Only because as soon as a Japanese person spots a westerner standing in front of a machine, they come dashing over, point to the map to see where you are going and operate the machine for you. I was never able to attempt a machine myself because of their helpfulness. Going to Umeda on a rainy day, a couple not only insisted on getting tickets for us but then walked us to the correct platform!
Umeda area in north Osaka has one of the largest underground malls in Japan, department stores and high-end hotels, e.g. Ritz-Carlton, Westin, Intercontinental. A perfect place to visit on a rainy day.

Osaka Umeda Hankyu Building Sky lobby and Huge elevator [4K] POV
Umeda Hankyu Building is skyscraper and is located near Osaka Sta. (JR) and Umeda Sta. (Hankyu line).
Lower floors are Hankyu Umeda Main Store (department store) and
higher floors are office floor.
15F is sky lobby. There are 5 huge elevators which is for 80 people between 1st floor and sky lobby.
