Nooshabad underground city, Iran
There is a historical city named Nooshabad just out of Kashan, Iran where you find a series of tunnels known as the underground city. It was created to protect people from Mongolian invasion of Iran in 13th century! I will post full story of my trip in central Iran on my blog:

The ancient Underground city of Nushabad in Iran is considered by scholars as one of the greatest masterpieces of ancient engineering. Somehow, thousands of years ago, ancient cultures dug eighteen meters into the Earth and created a sophisticated city beneath the surface, featuring extensive corridors, chambers, and tunnels, where people could live for extended periods of time.

Iran Road Trip - From Shiraz to Esfahan to Kashan + Tehran
My friend and I took a road trip from Shiraz up to Tehran in June of 2019. Iran has been on my bucket list for quite some time so it was amazing to be able to discover this gorgeous country.
For the trip from Shiraz we had a guide/driver, Mr Behrang Yaghoobi ( who came to use through Iran Doostan Tours which I highly recommend.
As this is a verrryyyy long video I made a index below so feel free to use it.

Here are a couple of tips to make your trip even better:
1. bring your own water bottle. There are plenty of free filling stations available to help you stay hydrated
2. men can wear full length trousers and a t-shirt. For women you will need to be fully covered and wear a head covering. Longer kimono style tops and long cardigans with full sleeves or 3/4 length sleeves are ideal. I also do not recommend silk scarves as they have a tendency to slip
3. bring either US Dollars or Euros to convert when you are there. It is better to bring more than you think you will need.
4. go with an open mind
Iran is a truly beautiful country so make sure to enjoy it.
