UNDERWATER WORLD LANGKAWI - Vlog 9 | Wanderlust On Wheel
LANGKAWI UNDERWATER WORLD is located in Chenang Market near to beach. It requires approximately 3 hrs to to complete with an entry fees of 46 RM. There are multiple species of water animals to see. The park is very nicely maintained covering all the zones in a stretch. If in Langkawi then one must include this place in plan.
The complex is divided into three sections: Tropical Rain forest, Temperate and Sub-Antarctic. The Sub-Antarctic was probably the most popular section – the ‘penguin-aquarium’ houses cute little rock-hopper and black-footed penguins that cause quite a few people to crowd around the exhibit to get a good look. Other highlights of the tourist-friendly Underwater World include an Educational Resource Center, a cafeteria and a three-dimensional (3D) theater – be sure to watch the short movie about Michael, a little prehistoric fish and his life before becoming a fossil. Lastly there’s a giant walk-through six million liter underwater tunnel tank which houses an extensive number of fish including sharks, giant stingrays and green turtles.

Our Experience
We bought the ticket online and was there at 8.30 am. Their staffs are so friendly and polite, all the animals look healthy and active. This is our 3rd time visit this place but still, enjoy feeding and playing with the animals. Hope in the future we have the opportunity to come here again, a lot of renovation is going on and we saw the signboard, a tiger will be placed in the park. Kids can play, learn and have a close encounter with the animals. Hope more and greater success to Langkawi Wildlife Park, keep up a good job.

“Langkawi Wildlife Park” as we are known is managed by Wildlife Planet Sdn Bhd and located at Lot 1485, Jalan Ayer Hangat, Kampung Belanga Pecah, 07000 Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia.
We opened to the public with the park named as “Langkawi Bird Paradise” on 30th November 2002. It was officially launched by the Chief Minister Of Kedah, Y.A.B. Dato Seri Razak Zain on 24th December 2002. On 1st January 2006 and in line with the new range of wildlife exhibits, we changed the name to “Langkawi Wildlife Park”.
Beautiful birds greet you as you stroll through tropical gardens. Walk through our large enclosed bird rooms where the larger species have room to stretch their wings and fly and enjoy our park’s concept that provides the following:
• Visitors can have close interaction with animals through fun feeding session
• Customer-friendly service that includes ‘In House Guide° service

Day 1 at Langkawi. Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, is a district and an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border.

See hundreds of marine mammals and fish at Underwater World Langkawi, a family-friendly aquarium that includes a fascinating glass tunnel walkway through a salt water tank. Visit sub-Antarctic, tropical, and temperate sections to see animals from around the world, including penguins, sharks, and the massive Amazonian arapaima. Pre-booking tickets saves time upon arrival, making this a hassle-free option that's ideal for families.
Unique to Underwater World Langkawi is the gigantic, 15-meter long, walk-through tunnel consisting of 600,000 liters of seawater, which houses many big fish and sea creatures.
Other attractions include the Freshwater Fish Section, the Seashell Display, the Koi Pond, the Reptilian Section, and the Coral Reef Section.
The 34,701 square foot oceanarium is located adjacent to a duty-free shopping center, food and beverages. Visitors are thus provided with a one-stop shopping, eating, and entertainment package, all of which are available within the area.
The building (with a 60,000 square foot built-up area) displays tropical rainforest, temperate, and sub-Antarctic ecosystems, that includes spectacular “penguinariums” with an underwater tunnel for visitors to view swimming penguins.
