Underwood Park
Underwood Park – The Fun
Underwood Park is a lovely spacious park with heaps of attractions to suit all ages. There are several playgrounds throughout the park, including a unique Spielart adventure playground and a second large playground that is protected by colourful shadesails. Funderwood Hollow, officially unveiled on 1st July 2014, has been designed for children aged 5 to 16 years and features a fairytale feel with castle-themed towers high above the ground. The design has been based on children’s drawing depicting their own ideas for a fantasy playground brought to life. A range of challenging equipment has been created from durable and natural materials for Brisbane Kids to explore, including climbing nets, rope bridges and a climbing wall, the towers of which are up to five metres high and nestled amongst the trees.
Additional features of Underwood Park include a pedal-powered monorail track that is always popular, as is the fying fox. Climbing nets, slides, swings and play structures provide variety for Brisbane Kids. The BMX track is awesome for older Brisbane Kids, being home to competitions on a regular basis. Other fun attractions of Underwood Park include a dog off-leash area, netball courts and basketball half-court. There are many sheltered tables in the park, and several wood and electric barbeques provided. There’s also a lagoon nearby.
Jayden and Zac at Underwood bike park
Took the kids to the Underwood bike park, in Priest Gully behind the footy club.
Jayden on the yellow bike, Zac on the Giant. They had a ball and so did I! This is just a short clip of one area at the venue. we did around 5km of riding while we were there through several trails that surround this park. There's everything from jumps to basic trails through to a drop off/rock ledge that's about 6+ foot high (managed to have my camera off while we all rode that! fail. ) There is even a full trials bike area if you've got the balance and skill for it!

A place of inner peace in Priestdale
April 13, 2019
Even though the massive complex glows green and gold, the Chung Tian Temple is something that could be easily missed. Nestled in amidst quiet bushland behind Underwood Park, it’s a stunning property that’s a haven for Buddhists and a wonderful place where you could easily lose track of time.
As we were guided around the property by Venerable Shan (head monk of the temple), statues of Buddha and green spaces were a common sight. The smell of incense radiated through the air, the sound of gongs and the occasional chant escaping from the main temple. We could have been in China, but we were in Priestdale. Do you think the name was intentional?
We were ushered into a basic side room with a noble, softly spoken Chinese man — ready to witness a ceremony thousands of years in the making. William, our Tea Master, gave us an insight into how Buddhists use tea to enhance their religion. It’s all about being present in the moment. The pay off?
“To let our mind be deep and present, and be aware of our action, our speech and our thoughts.”
Focus and thoughtfulness are important in the tea ceremony — every move is deliberate, every sip is savoured — a succinct embodiment of the Buddhist religion.

The other day we took a trip to the NEW Underwood skatepark just south of Brisbane. The fence was still up, but the park was finished. Fun little park with a sick bowl. Pat Dandy had a little shred and got some tricks.... PAT is a BEAST!!!
After, we went to a mates backyard mini ramp. Rad day of skating NEW stuff...
And a quick little edit of fun.
Enjoy.
It is what it is.
