Charles is on an epic journey in Romania on a budget, visiting some of the most popular and off the beaten path attractions. Valuable advice includes getting around inexpensive, getting a local SIM and cash local currency. Starting in Bucharest, we'll visit Palace of the Parliament, Dambovita River, and in the Old Town: Stavropoleos Moastery, Biserica Sfantul Anton. As well important landmarks like Revolution Square, Romanian Athenaeum and Arc of Triumph. In Sinaia, the famous Peles Castle and the Monastery. The Caraiman Cross in Bușteni on Bucegi Mountain. in Brasov, Piata Sfatului and cable up the Tampa Mountain, Șchei Gate, Black Church and Biserica Sfantul Nicolae, as well as the Prejmer Fortified Church and Bran Castle. In Sibiu, the Holy Trinity Church, the Grand Square, Council Tower and Bridge of Lies, Balea Lake and the Ice-Hotel by driving through Transfăgărășan Road. From Cluj Napoca, Union and Museum Square, Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania and continued on to Scarisoara Cave, Rosia Montana Roman Mines Gallery, Bride's Veil Waterfall and Lake Beliș-Fântânele. Salina Turda Salt Mine and Turda Gorge. The last part of the journey will be Timisoara to visit the all the local sites: the Liberty and Union Square, Botanical Park, Victory Square and Communist Consumers Museum. The last city we visit will be Oradea, including the Town Hall Clock Tower, the Citadel and St. Nicholas Cathedral.

Our school organises a theme carnival every year, in February. This year, our school carnival was called “Emotions Carnival”. The students made carnival masks with different emotions before the carnival. They presented their costumes, they participated in dance competitions and they danced on different types of music, expressing their feelings.
All together, children, teachers and parents, had a lot of fun.

Sighisoara was our third stop in our Transylvania Road Trip. It is very rich in history and has an amazing architecture. This medieval city has a very charming appeal. Not to mention that it was the birth place of the original Dracula (Vlad Tepes). Our most favorite site here is the main square (citadel) itself. People watching, eating ice cream, drinking coffee, checking out restaurants, taking lots of photos as it is so photogenic and just simply resting under the tree are few of our favorite activities here. We are 100% recommending for you guys to visit this place.

The Steam Locomotives Museum is a railway museum in Sibiu, Romania. It houses a collection of steam locomotives and engines.
Inaugurated in 1994, the museum comprises 23 standard gauge locomotives, 10 narrow gauge locomotives, 3 snowploughs and 2 steam cranes. 7 of these locomotives are active, and are used on a variety of special trains for enthusiasts and other groups.
The Locomotives Museum is located opposite the main railway station in Sibiu, comprising the former roundhouse and turntable across the railways lines. Part of the depot area is still used so care should always be taken. In addition, there is usually a narrow gauge steam locomotive based at the depot of the narrow gauge Agnita railway line .
The locomotives displayed were built between 1885 and 1959 in Romania and other countries, such as Germany and the United States (Baldwin Locomotive Works).
The footage was shoot with:

- Gopro Hero 7 Black Edition.

Seeing as Bucharest is such a unique city we wanted to see if we could explore Romania’s capital in just one day. In this video, we wander through Old town. Visiting some of the historic churches, important buildings, inns and Instagrammable spots.
There were obviously some places we weren’t able to fit in, but if you’re short on time then it definitely is possible. Especially if you spend your time around the old town area. After the communist era, the city centre is only 20% of what it used to be, so compared to other places in Europe it has a smaller old town, which is great for a day of sightseeing.
