We spent the next two days enjoying the many sights between Rekyjavik to Stykkisholmur and the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
Adventures in Iceland Day 10 and 11
Roadtrip in Iceland
Olafsvik camping - (по дорозі підібрали автостоперів - пару з Чехії) - Landbrotalaug Hot Springs (дрібна калюжа з термальною водою; ще там один турист по коліно загруз в багнюці; висновок: не варто відвідувати).

KIRKJUFELL CLIMB - ICELAND ADVENTURES
A place on the west coast of Iceland people tend to take fancy long exposure pictures of this mountain. We didn´t do that. We wanted see it up close.
We climbed Kirkjufell, the most famous mountain in Iceland.
There is a path. We didn´t find it. So this is our own way up. Even tough it was scary, it was a experience worth the risk.

Snæfellsnes Peninsula (the most beautiful place) | Iceland roadtrip vlog 2019
In this third video of my epic Icelandic road trip, my brother and I visited the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, an amazing peninsula in Iceland with nothing but a few remote fishing villages and a view of the blindingly white Snaefellsjokull glacier almost everywhere you look. We started at the stunning Kirkjufellsfoss waterfalls, then visited the social media darling Budakirkja (a lonely black church). We walked across a lava field from Arnarstapi to Hellnar and ended the day at a secret, hidden hot spring at an abandoned farmhouse.
In April 2019, my brother and I set out on an adventure in Iceland. We spent 10 days exploring the epic landscapes and sights of this incredible nation steeped in history, culture and stunning natural beauty. Follow along as we walk in the footsteps of the vikings!
I am a writer, artist and traveler and share what I love and where I find creative inspiration. Thank you for visiting!

Return of the Vlog: Episode 1 - Iceland
Recap: 0:00-3:08
Vlog: 3:10-24:05
WE BACK!
It's been a really long time since I've done this, so sorry for any awkwardness, camera shaking, and general debauchery.
The boys are back, and this time we take on Iceland!
Man, what can I say, what an absolutely BEAUTIFUL country.
The weather was not in our favor and we only had about 4-6 hours of sunlight during our 4 days there, but we made the most of it!
I tried to keep the video under 10 minutes, but there was just way too much footage and I didn't want to cut out anything more than I had to. So sorry for the mini documentary, but I hope you enjoy the content!
Special shout out to Mingi, who planned out our activities (who also forgot to make time for eating and sleeping). This was definitely more of an adventure than a vacation but I'm all for it!
List of places we visited:
Landed in Reykjavík
Eldborg Crater (60m crater)
Gerðuberg Cliffs (Basalt rock shaped into columns)
Rauðfeldsgjá Ravine (Ravine/cave that is fun to explore)
Arnarstapi (Historic trading post, surrounded by basalts ravines and grottoes)
Londrangar (Castle looking rock formation, overlooking the sea)
Kirkjufellsfoss (Waterfall of kirkjufell mountain)
Kirkjufell, Iceland (The mountain)
Stykkishólmur (Most beautiful village in iceland)
Kerid Crater Lake
Secret Lagoon at Flúðir (Nice little natural hotsprings, not as crowded as the blue lagoon)
Haukadalur Geothermal Area
Thingvellir National Park
Seljalandsfoss, Iceland (60m Waterfall you are able to walk behind)
Skógafoss, Iceland (60m waterfall said to be more scenic)
Reynisdrangar, Iceland (Ranked one of the most beautiful beaches by NatGeo, black sand beach)
Fjaðrárgljúfur, Iceland (100m deep canyon)
Skaftafell, Reykjavík, Iceland (Nature reserve, has two glacier tongues)
Jökulsárlón, Iceland (Glacier lagoon)
Blue Lagoon
(Yes we did all of that in 4 days, now you see why we didn't have time to sleep/eat).
Why Iceland? I was inspired by Chris Burkard after discovering his page on Instagram. Funny enough while we were in Iceland, we had some down time and were looking for something to watch on Netflix. What did we watch? Under an Arctic Sky, a film by Chris Burkard.
About the northern lights:
Prior to this trip, I haven't done much research on the northern lights. I thought you pay for a tour, they take you to a set location and you enjoy the lights. I didn't know about all of the variables that go into seeing these lights. We didn't get to see them this time, but i'll definitely be back! Funny enough, my sister's friends went the night after us, and saw AMAZING lights. Maybe next time!
