Did We Make It Into The Nas Daily Puerto Rico Video?
We had fun yesterday filming this Nas Daily video in Old San Juan! It was cool for the kids to see the finished product today. As far as the taxes topic, it's complicated. In essence what he said was true, but there are a lot of stipulations that make it more beneficial to those coming from the outside than those who were born and raised here. Also, sales tax is 10.5% plus another 1-2% municipal tax - again, not great for those living here. Nas is not a politician, he's a content creator. His heart on this was to bring a positive light to Puerto Rico and attempt to encourage outside funding to the island. I'm not mad at him.
Thanks for watching!!

Model Shanti in San Juan, Puerto Rico
One of the most important and well known ports for its rum, San Juan! The capital amd most popular city in Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1521 by Juan Ponce de Leon, who named it City of Puerto Rico (Rich Port).
A few of the neighborhoods visited in this video includes; Old San Juan, Santurce, Parque de las Palomas, Condado, Miramar, Isle Verde, Ocean Park, Pinones, Santa Teresita and Rio Piedras.
The 16th century fort with countless cocktail bars ‘Viejo San Juan’ is a must visit.
If you are an outdoor person who isn't afraid of walking long trails and getting cool off by waterfalls then El Yunque National Forest and Juan Diego Falls in Luquillo are the places for you.
As for as touring and catching up on some history ‘Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristobal and San Juan national historic site ’ are all must sees!
Parque Isla Verde was my fav place of them all. The beautiful, clean sand, clear water and not to mention the sunrise and sunset that occurs there in Carolina, Puerto Rico.
There’s a hidden mini zoo at ‘Kira’s world exotic mini zoo’ in Vega Baja that you must check out as well. I had a great time at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in the heart of downtown S.J. And don’t fret if you forgot a sandals or swimsuit at home because you can get just about anything at the Mall of San Juan!

All the bedding, flooring, drapery, bathrooms and other areas of the hotel are all new. The staff at the Ritz Carlton in Puerto Rico are the friendliest people. The staff just want you to be happy with your experience at the hotel and tell others to come back. There are lots of places around the hotel to eat. TROPICAL Puerto Rican STREET FOOD TOUR | Piñones, Puerto Rico
During my trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico in Partnership with the Intercontinental San Juan, I decided to head out to Piñones to try some tropical authentic Puerto Rican Street Food!
25 Puerto Rican Dishes You Must Eat:
I arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico early in the morning and headed straight to the Intercontinental San Juan to check in and to show you my club level suite. My suite is huge!
From their I grabbed a quick 15 minute uber ride east to Piñones. This area has one road and their are tons of restaurants and kioskos (traditional huts) where they serve authentic Puerto Rican street food.
My first stop was at Donde Olga Bar & Restaurant to try a Bacalaito which is a salted cod pancake fritter and a Alcapurria which is fried green banana stuffed with crab or beef. Both of these Puerto Rican street foods are must tries when you visit Puerto Rico!
Next we walked over to El Barriles Restaurant to try some Mofongo with Seafood! Mofongo is fried plantain mash with seafood. This is the star of Puerto Rican street food dishes. It is so yummy mixed in with the seafood!
On our way to our next stop I stumbled on Ostiones Vivos Kiosko. This is a small hut serving local Puerto Rican ostras or oysters! They are small bite sized oysters but if you like oysters you will love them!
Our final stop is Sabores de Piñones where I tried two local specialities, Pionono is a stuffed fried plantain stuffed with beef and a Rellenos de Papa which is a fried mash potato stuffed with ground beef.
I think the Pionono was my favorite because it was so sweet but the Bacalaito and Mofogo were off the chain!
Big thanks to my friends at the Intercontinental San Juan:

DELISH North Carolina FOOD & WINE TOUR + Camp North End & Musuem | Charlotte, North Carolina
On my second day in Charlotte, North Carolina, in partnership with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, I went on a fantastic food and wine tour and visited a pair of fascinating local attractions. Everything about this city is amazing!
My Film Making Kit ►
The first place I hit up is Coco and the Director, a modern coffee house in the Uptown area. There, I had a delicious ham, egg, and cheese sandwich and a strong cold brew that helped wake me up after the long day I’d had the day before.
Coco and the Director:
Next, I caught an Uber to Camp North End, a 76-acre historical area that is now a hub for creativity and innovation in the heart of the Charlotte’s North End Smart District, where I visited Hex Coffee, a massive warehouse that once housed a Model-T factory, and an outdoor space featuring local art where visitors hang out, eat from food trucks, and listen to live music.
Camp North End:
While I was at Camp North End, I stopped by Hex Coffee, a small, independent coffee bar that was started by three local guys who strove to be to be forward-thinking, positive creators of culture in Charlotte. Their nitrogen cold brew gave me another jolt of energy!
Hex Coffee:
After that, I went to the Levine Museum of the New South to learn about the history of Charlotte, as well as the rich and complicated history of the American South from the years immediately following the Civil War to the present day.
Levine Museum of the New South:
Finally, it was time to eat at 7th Street Public Market, a major gathering place in the Center City of Charlotte that features many different food vendors. There, I sampled some North Carolina cheeses, local wines, a unique grilled ham & cheese sandwich, and a unique and delicious sushi burrito.
7th Street Public Market:
I hope you liked this tour of Charlotte, North Carolina! If you did please give this video a thumbs up, leave a comment and subscribe to my channel for more awesome travel content!

My First Airbnb Experience - Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
Recently my husband and I went on an 11 day Caribbean cruise with Windstar Cruises, and we left from Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Our plans were to arrive a day early so that we could explore the city. I decided to surprise my husband with our very first Airbnb experience - it was definitely one of a kind!
It was called a funky rooftop shack, and I was convinced as soon as I saw the title and the photos. It even had a rope bridge and was mostly open to the outdoors with privacy. It was on top of an Old San Juan hostel, and it was in the heart of the city. It was a perfect start to our celebration. So fun!
If you would like to visit my wedding blog, see here - and my travel specific site is here -
If you want to save $40 off on your first Airbnb stay ($70 or more) here's my link to save. I also get $20 to use for an Airbnb if you use the link.
Also, my backpack (made a cameo!) is a charging travel backpack from Osaka Owl, and you can use my affiliate/sponsored link here if you're interested in one for yourself. We took it everywhere on our trip! :)
