2015年11月、第3回アフリカスーダンにて以下日本語学習者を対象とした日本語動画コンテストを開催。レベル別（３レベル）に最優秀賞を決定。応募作品全15作品を紹介。
In November 2015, the 3rd Japanese language film contest was held in Sudan, Africa, showing the films made by the Japanese language learners. The best films out of 15 films from each level (3 levels) were decided at the contest.

目標：「日本語で日本人にスーダンのことを紹介する動画を作成する」
日時：2015年11月9日（月）～11日（水）17：00～19：00
場所：IAAS（ハルツーム大学アフリカアジア研究所 1階ホール）
対象：上記研究所日本語コース受講者
The 3rd Japanese Film Contest in Sudan, Africa
Purpose: To make a video that introduces something about Sudan
to the Japanese people in Japanese language.
Schedule: November 9th(Mon) – 11th(Wed), 2015 17:00～19:00
Place: IAAS (The Institute of African and Asian Studies, University of Khartoum 1st floor/ hall)
Object person: The students from the Japanese course of the Institute above

Rare manuscripts housed in University of Khartoum

The University of Khartoum is the largest and oldest university in Sudan.
It contains a library of rare books and manuscripts, dating back to the time of the British administration.
STORY-LINE:
British rule in Sudan ended in 1956. The University of Khartoum is Sudan's oldest university and a legacy of the colonial period.
Founded in 1902 in the early days of Brtitish rule, the university was founded by Lord Kitchener, later British Seceretary of State for War.
He founded what was then the Gordon Memorial College in honour of General Charles George Gordon, who died in 1885 at the Battle of Khartoum.
Originally called the Gordon Memorial College, it was a blueprint for many other colleges established afterwards in Sudan.
Khartoum University's Library is a library that was established with Gordon Memorial College dating back to 1902. At the beginning, it was for collecting information and documents that were at that time about the British administration, and about all that was done by Britain in Sudan, because it was the resource and the source to receive the culture and science at that time in Gordon Memorial College.says Dr. Abdul-Malek Al-Naeem, Public Relations and Media manager in University of Khartoum.
The university's library, known as the Sudan Library, contains many rare books and manuscripts.
We found handwritten manuscripts dating back to more than 300 years, things linked to old Sudan, things linked to the British administration and things linked to countries that have relations with Sudan, says Dr. Al-Naeem.
The University changed its name to the University of Khartoum in 1956, following Sudan's independence.
