EBIT JCP 2018 Group 2, University of Pretoria Mamelodi Campus
This was a project of the Community-Based Project (JCP) of the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology of the University of Pretoria.
Location: University of Pretoria Mamelodi Campus, Mamelodi, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.
Having the opportunity of doing community work has been a gratifying and
pleasurable experience for our entire group. Seeing students who have never
used a computer before when we started computer training, to be able to work on
their CV without our assistance and being able to send emails, has been a
nourishing experience. Group 2 is very thankful to our JCP community partners
for making this all possible.

Reconciliation, 2005. Curator: Elfriede Dreyer. University of Pretoria.
The curated art exhibitions entitled Reconciliation formed part of the Arts and Reconciliation Festival held at the University of Pretoria from 14 to 20 March 2005. It comprised the work of eleven individual artists and two group exhibitions, that were on view from 15 to 30 March 2005 at the Visual Arts Gallery, the Gallery of the Department of Architecture, the UP Conference Centre, the Rautenbach Hall and the UP Technical Building. The exhibitions included the Fatherhood project, a photographic exhibition, and an exhibition of art and craft from Mozambique. The organisers of the Arts and Reconciliation Festival formulated the strategic objective of the Festival as the provision of a forum to redefine and celebrate the role that music, drama, films and the visual arts have played in the process of healing and reconciliation in present-day South Africa. Honourable Judge Albie Sachs opened the exhibition and the patrons of the Festival were former Archbishop Desmond Tutu and former President F W de Klerk, Nobel Prize winner.
