about 80 feet height.

----------| ABOUT BIJAPUR, KARNATAKA |----------
Bijapur, officially known as Vijayapura, is the district headquarters of Bijapur District of Karnataka state of India. Bijapur city is well known for its historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of the Adil Shahi dynasty. The city was established in the 10th-11th centuries by the Kalyani Chalukyas and was known as Vijayapura (City of victory). The city was passed to Yadavas after Chalukya's demise. The city came under the influence of the Khalji Sultanate in Delhi by the late 13th century. In 1347, the area was conquered by the Bahmani Sultanate of Gulbarga. By this time, the city was being referred as Bijapur.

Hyder Buruz
It is a huge watch tower rising up to 24 meters in height there are two canons at on the tower and the view from the top of the Burz is breath taking. It was built around 1584 by Hyder Khan. This also known as “Upri Burz”.
Malik e Maidan Cannon Bijapur / ಮಲಿಕ ಏ ಮೈದಾನ ತೋಪ ವಿಜಯಪುರ/
The largest cannon in the world weighing 55 tons and measuring 5 Meter long placed on a water tank .The cannon is like a shape of lions head.After igniting the cannon the gunner will jump in water tank to avoid deafening explode sound.
