Israel - Drone Flight Over Fort Masada Part 2
My flight over the fortress of Masada in Israel near the Dead Sea.
I was flying and filming with my quadrocopter Yuneec Typhoon 4K.
Masada is an ancient fortification in the Southern District of Israel situated on top of an isolated rock plateau, akin to a mesa, on the eastern edge of the Judaean Desert, overlooking the Dead Sea 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Arad. It isabout 400 meters (1300 ft.) on it's west side wall.
Herod the Great built palaces for himself on the mountain and fortified Masada between 37 and 31 BCE. According to Josephus, the Siege of Masada by troops of the Roman Empire towards the end of the First Jewish–Roman War ended in the mass suicide of 960 people – the Sicarii rebels and their families hiding there.

התחלנו את הנסיעה משער הקיבוץ, מיד אחרי הקיבוץ חלפנו בסמוך לגבעת הרקפות הידועה, אחריה עברנו ליד קיבוץ דליה, צומת המחבר את כביש 672 שלנו עם כביש מקומי 6953 היורד אל כביש 66, צומת רמת השופט בו נפגוש את כביש 6954 הקצר המחבר את כביש 672 לכביש 6953, עין העמק, צומת הכניסה ליקנעם עילית, אליקים ולבסוף נעבור מעל כביש 70 על מחלף אליקים בדרכנו אל דאלית אל-כרמל,עספיא וחיפה.

On this trip we passed in the following places: cyclamen hill israel, kibbutz Dalia, Junction that connects us to Route 6953 that connects to Highway 66, Ramat HaShofet Junction, Ein HaEmek, access road to Yokneam, Eliakim And finally - Elyakim interchange from which we continued to Daliyat al-Karmel, Isfiya and Haifa

Best Free Dead Sea Public Beaches in Israel
If you are looking for the best free Dead Sea Public Beaches in Israel you will have an easy job as there are at least a couple of them on the way down to Eilat.
The closest free Dead Sea Beach to Jerusalem is past a military checkpoint, on the left side of the road as you are heading towards Eilat.
Park up your car by the Dead Sea and walk down to the water to enjoy this free public beach. What you need to know is that there are no showers here and no life guard, so you visit this free Dead Sea beach in Israel at your own risk! Also, consider that there are sink holes all along the coast, so that is another risk you take. Now if you watch the video, you will see that nothing has happened to me.
If you want the comfort of a shower, then drive to Ein Bokek in Israel on your way to Eilat or Masada. Here, all you need to pay for is the parking, otherwise the shower, the sand and sunbathing will all be free.

Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.
