This week, we took a family trip down to Melaka, the historical City! Let me walk you through some of my favourite highlights and attractions nearby the famous Jonker Street.

这一次乘着我生日，所以计划到了Melaka 马六甲去2天1夜的旅游！
全程都是我自己计划的哦，从订旅店到每个吃喝玩乐的地方都是我事先在网络上查询好推荐的出名景点与美食，当然也有很多人问我我们去住的酒店是在哪里？好漂亮，好特别，而且价格很合理，蛮大的房间和我最爱的大自然玻璃镜View，hotel还有免费的游泳池和早餐提供哦，重点是他们也有Van货车主题的房间，也是超漂亮的o(∩_∩)o

Melaka Trip !
After some thought, I decided to put on some details here that might be helpful for those who want to visit the place !
It was a really short trip, but I think it was enough if you go purely for food and jalan jalan (sightseeing)
We depart from TBS (Kuala Lumpur) to Melaka Sentral Bus Terminal, by bus, obviously. You can purchase the ticket online but remember to print 2 copies to get the original ticket at the bus station. We stayed at Hotel Melaka Sentral, which was quite big in room size even though the building is a little bit old. The price is quite cheap for the room (RM 75++) when I booked. It is located not so far from the bus station and jonker street (15-20 mins walking) So, to list down the places that we went to ;
- Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball : just to remind you it was a really long queue :) it was actually understandable because it is considered famous there. Open daily 07:30 - 15:00. Price wise, I think it worth the wait since the chicken is so delicious and it's only around RM 12/ person including drink. The rice ball was okay for me but my sister likes it! (ps : I am hainanese so I know how the chicken should taste like HAHA)
- San Shu Gong : a local delicacy shop located just opposite Chung Wah. You can find a lot of food and souvenirs to be brought back for your families. They have a delicious durian cendol too, if you are a big fan of durian, like me ;) Open daily 10am - 10pm
- Nadeje (we visited the one at Mahkota Parade) : open daily 11am - 10pm. Besides serving heavy food, one of their specialty is their cakes. I can guarantee you their cake is really really delicious (we tried the original and mocha one) but oh well, another long queue place
- St Paul Church : when you stroll around the jonker street after the Christ Church, you will pass by this church and it is the oldest church building in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Need to be prepared to climb up the stairs to get on top.
- A famosa : a historical place by the Portuguese. you will still find the surviving gate there. After coming down from St Paul Church, you can just go straight, spot a cute dinosaur, and go straight again, and find this place.
- Jonker Street : Opening hours for night market on Friday is 6-10pm, saturday and sunday 11am -10pm. Don't worry, the souvenirs shops are open in the daytime from 10am but of course in the daytime no night market lah
- Capitol Satay Celup : Aha! another long queue eating place. but this time, we queue at the side of the road which I think is quite dangerous because the vehicles were literally pass by so close to where you are standing. People said it's one of the must-try in Melaka, but honestly I found it was okay. Well, different people different taste bud. Open Wednesday - Monday 5pm - 11pm. Psst, it was really cheap though, like really, per stick was only RM 1.1 if I'm not mistaken.
There are another must visit places, of course, which we missed :(
- Klebang Coconut Milk Shake : we didn't have car and it's not very near with our place and we were just there for 1 day so... yea. Open daily except Friday 12.30pm- 6.30pm. According to the internet it's just around RM1.5 - RM2 per glass. Tell me where you can get such delicious coconut milk shake with that price. It should be shooooo good because everyone is going crazy for it.
- Upside Down House : Well, we went there! but... unfortunately it was not opened yet even though it's 11am already due to the renovation. Open Monday - Thursday 10am - 7pm, Friday - Sunday/Public Holiday 10am - 9pm.

Of course, if you have car to go around you can go to many other place since the weather was quite hot when I was there. All the information above was mainly from internet, but I went to those places within the time stated. Have a great day ! ;)
