SAGAR VIHAR :- Sagar Vihar Garden is a popular tourist attraction which faces the Thane creek in Navi Mumbai. Its original name is Veer Savarkar Udyan and is popularly known by the name Sagar Vihar Garden.
This garden has variety of flowers and provides beautiful views of the creek. Visitors can relax and unwind in the middle of the city at this garden.
JNPT PORT :-Jawaharlal Nehru Port, also known as Nhava Sheva, is the largest container port in India.[4][3] Located east of Mumbai in Maharashtra, the port on the Arabian Sea is accessed via Thane Creek. Its common name derives from the names of Nhava and Sheva villages that were situated here. This port is also the terminal of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor proposed by Indian Railways.
URAN BEACH :-Uran is part of Navi Mumbai city of Maharashtra state in Konkan division. It lies in the Raigad district, east of Mumbai across the Dharamtar Creek. Uran is primarily a fishing & agriculture village, which has developed into the special economic zone of Uran. The primary language spoken is Agri& KOLI which is a dialect of Marathi.major tourist attraction in Uran is Pirwadi Beach, which is frequented by tourists from nearby areas like Panvel, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai. A distant view of South Mumbai is visible from there. In township there is one beautiful garden ,which is attractive for kid and also youngers. Ransai Dam is a destination in Uran. It is located near Dighode Village.
An old military fort named Dronagiri is located just beside the ONGC plant on the top of the Dronagiri mountain. This was a Maratha fort for a short period before passing into possession of the Portuguese, according to the locals. Entry has banned for security reasons.
JEWELS OF NAVI MUMBAI:-The beautification of Nerul Lake with international standard transformed to Jewel of Navi Mumbai has now becomes a Public Landmark. The round monument depicting the city with huge statue 'JEWEL OF NAVI MUMBAI' at the entrance underway the Nerul waterfront off Palm Beach Road leading to 2.6 km concrete stamped wooden finished walking and jogging tracks along with the periphery of the pond with natural and landscaping elements enjoyed by regulars both morning and evening is best suited to the world class planned city thanks to the long term vision of NMMC which was not only a blessings to locals but also change the the whole city face .The rough pathway from the entrance through imported plants and grass, having international feel along with benches on the sides, leads to diamond at the earmarked space symbolic of the 'Jewel of Navi Mumbai', along with compound wall, open gym, block toilet, open light etc. moving to the 'Great Thinker' statue where you stop and introspect for a moment thinking of our city and environment..........Hope with the next phase amphi theater and more facilities will be completed at the earliest......

Best place to visit for one day picnic at Uran Nagoan Beach, Navi Mumbai...
Nagaon is a beach town on the shores of the Arabian Sea, in the North Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. It is located 9 km from Alibag and 114 km from Mumbai.[1] Nagaon beach is popular mainly because of its cleanliness, water sport activities. The beach is around 3 km long.[2] There are a few small hotels in Nagaon as the rest of the area is privately owned. Best option to stay here to stay in cottages owned by local people.
The Nagaon village has population of 4977 of which 2501 are males while 2476 are females as per Population Census 2011. [4]In Nagaon village population of children with age 0-6 is 337 which makes up 6.77 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Nagaon village is 990 which is higher than Maharashtra state average of 929. Child Sex Ratio for the Nagaon as per census is 812, lower than Maharashtra average of 894.
Nagaon village has higher literacy rate compared to Maharashtra. In 2011, literacy rate of Nagaon village was 92.89 % compared to 82.34 % of Maharashtra. In Nagaon Male literacy stands at 95.98 % while female literacy rate was 89.81 %.
Road
One can reach Alibag via Panvel - Pen (30 km away), which is on the Mumbai (78 km away) - Goa highway. While traveling on the Mumbai-Goa highway (NH-17), keep going straight at Wadkhal (or Vadkhal) (instead of taking left fork that goes to Goa. The distance is approximately 114 km from Mumbai. But the Alibag-Nagaon road is very bad
Railways
The nearest rail railway station is at Pen. Through Pen, it is connected to Panvel and onwards to Mumbai and the Indian Railways network
Boat service
The nearest jetty is Mandwa from where catamaran/ ferry services are available to Gateway of India, Mumbai. Another port in the vicinity is Rewas, from where a ferry service is available to Bhau cha Dhakka in Mumbai. There is also a jetty at Custom Bandar from where fishermen in Alibag set sail

#beach #picnic #secret Yeh ek anokha aur zabardast beach hai, Haji Ali ke jaisa feel ata hai yaha pe, namaz ada karne dur dur se log yaha chalke aate hai. Pura video dekhna zaroor. True story, I never knew that such a beach existed in Mumbai. One of the very few and rare beaches near Mumbai which can be visited in one day for some much needed quiet and romantic time. I decided to take my bike along because public transport here is quite less and pretty much non existent. I began my journey from Dadar on the Sion-Panvel highway, then took a right towards Uran via CBD Belapur. What followed was a road full of off road experiences, it almost felt as if I was in a village of Gujarat or Rajasthan. Lots of dust flying around, at one point some of it even went in my mouth as I was vlogging while riding with the action camera mounted on my helmet. Huge and massive trucks passed by as it was route meant for transporting cargo and heavy pay loads. i guess this place is quite close to the upcoming Panvel airport site. After a stretch of bad roads I finally entered an awesome strip of highway which could easily be one of the best racing strips of Mumbai! You can easily touch top speed on this road. My bajaj Avenger only managed to reach a modest 120 kmph. I wish I had the first Bajaj Avenger 400! However I enjoyed it a lot! After a series of twist and turns I reached a village type spot which looked similar to the ones in Konkan. Then came the ONGC factory and towards the end of I finally reached my destination, Pirwadi. Pirwadi or Peerwadi beach is one of the most secluded beaches of Mumbai. There is a dargah right next to the beach, its something similar to the Haji Ali Dargah near Mahalaxmi. There were also a couple of horses. You can opt for a horse ride for as low as 50rs. I didn't see any shops or hotels here except for a guy selling biscuits, wafers, candy and chocolates. So its better that you carry your food and water along with you. There is even a helipad here which is mostly used to land helicopters for the ONGC site. The beach looks like one of the shooting locations of films like The Pirates of The Caribbean because the background has mysterious mountains and the isolation it provides, a few boats can be seen sailing through the deep waters. I roamed around a bit and explored the area and soon it was time for me to head back as I wanted to reach home before dark. Its a great place for a one day picnic for a couple seeking privacy and a group of friends seeking adventure to getaway from their daily routine either on a weekend or weekday as its almost never crowded. However there is also a police station nearby so you can get caught if you try something too adventurous or illegal. I hope you enjoyed watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. Uran is a situated in Navi Mumbai falls under Raigarh District. Uran is situated in the eastern part of Mumbai across the Thane stream near Panvel and Karjat. Uran is covered with beautiful scenery. The path leads to Uran is covered with Hills, Paddy fields and scenic view. Uran is very close to nature. Uran is in nature surrounded by sea on three sides and one side with land which is the way towards Uran.
As it’s surrounded by water it has lot of beaches most visited ones are Pirvad, Mankeshwar and ONGC. Uran is one of the well developing city it has plenty of industries including JNPT, GTI and P&O. Uran also had well known Shipping industries like MSEB, ONGC and GTPS.
LOCATION
Uran is not too far from Mumbai. Uran is not much well known place in tourist. Uran is mainly known for fishing. The main occupation of the locals here is fishing but now it is well advance into Industrial region.
Naval Base is also situated in Mora Gaon Mora near Uran. Local believe that the development of the village is hampered due to the naval base situated in Uran which controls the sea journey.
Other than fishing farming is main source of income for the people of Uran. Second biggest contribution of Rice is from the district of Raigarh
HOW TO REACH
Uran is situated in Navi Mumbai is very close to Vashi and CBD Belapur.
To reach Mora Beach you have to take a Ferry from Bhaucha Dhakka or Mazgaon Docks, 45 mins ride will take you to Mora Beach and from mora beach take an Auto to Pirvadi Beach. First ferry leaves Bhawcha Dhakka at 8.00 am and last from Mora beach is at 6.00 pm during low tides and at 8.00 pm during High tides.
Uran can also be reached by Road. But it is much convenient for those who are traveling from Navi Mumbai and Thane, Ferry option is suitable for those who are traveling from Mumbai.
ATTRACTIONS
Uran holds some of the many shrines which attract devotees which includes
Dronogiri Temple is of goddess Dronogiri situated on hill it gives a picturesque sight of Dharamteer Bay. One can watch the entire sight from Colaba to Mandva from this temple
Mankeshwar temple is a beautiful temple of lord shiva situated 5 minutes walking from the beach. Trip to this temple is rejuvenating.
Pirwadi Beach is another major tourist attraction in Uran, which is frequented by tourists from nearby areas like Panvel, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai. A distant view of South Mumbai is visible from there.
