Kayaking is the use of a boat (specifically a kayak) for moving across water. It is distinguished from canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler and the number of blades on the paddle. A kayak is a low-to-the-water, canoe-like boat in which the paddler sits facing forward, legs in front, using a double-bladed paddle to pull front-to-back on one side and then the other in rotation. Most kayaks have closed decks, although sit-on-top and inflatable kayaks are growing in popularity as well.

I Found the BEST SPOT!! Incredible Pike Fishing
Floating an unfamiliar river for some super aggressive pike. I searched around for a while, and then found one of the best pike holes I've fished in a while!
Fly rod: 9' 8wt Orvis Clearwater rod (4 piece)
Reel: Waterworks‑Lamson Liquid Fly Reel 3.5
Line: 8wt scientific anglers fly line, 20lb tapered flouro leader with a 20lb RIO wire tippet.
Rod/reel setup:
-Quantum Octane 6'6 medium heavy action rod with an Abu Garcia silver max and 30lb braided line, connected to a 27lb 9 steel leader.
***The rod and reel I was using is a cheap setup, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. I only use it at the river in case something happens, I'd rather break that than an expensive rod/reel.

Chicago Could Be A Future Hiking Destination
CBS 2's Vince Gerasole reports on a hiking group that takes advantage of Chicago's urban landscape.
Drone footage tours bustling promenade on Chicago's riverfront
This drone footage captures a pathway along the riverfront in Chicago over one year after Sasaki and Ross Barney Architects transformed it into a busy public space, featuring fishing platforms and a spot for kayaking.
Having completed the Chicago Riverwalk in 2016, Boston-based Sasaki Associates and local firm Ross Barney Architects' tasked videographer Chang Kim to shoot the site from above to capture it in its full use.
Kim released the footage, which last three minutes long, in November 2017, just over 12 months after the walkway opened to the public.
We knew we wanted to do something special to celebrate the completion of this transformative project — something that would capture the experience of this vibrant public space that's nestled in the heart of one of America's most important architectural cities, Sasaki told Dezeen.
We've photographed the project several times now, but static photography doesn't place the viewer in the space quite like moving images can, they continued. We couldn't be happier with how well this video tells the story of this project.
Shot over two days in perfect weather, the film pairs drone imagery taken by a high definition camera to provide a wide overview of the site with ground-level footage captured by a tripod-mounted to show the public enjoying the space.
An early shot pans over the five bridges that span the river at right angles to the boardwalk. Sasaki and Ross Barney Architects employed the bridges to as a key feature of the renovation, using them to segment the walkway into block-sized rooms for different uses in between.
The two firms then split up the design of the sections. Sasaki designed jetty, which features protruding platforms that provide decks for fishing and chunks of greenery placed in between. For the Cove, the firm slightly angled the deck to wrap around a series of benches and face the kayak rental, while the Marina section is linear and lined with trees.
