The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is a nonprofit, environmental education, research, and avian rehabilitation organization in Quechee, Vermont. In this episode Stefan speaks with VINS Director Charles Rattigan, as well as other staff about the history of VINS, its mission, and the new Forest Canopy Walk exhibit opening Fall 2019.

Quality Inn at Quechee Gorge in Quechee VT

VINS Bald Eagle Release 04 08 14
The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) recently provided care and rehabilitation for a juvenile bald eagle. This eagle was successfully rehabilitated and released, as seen in this video.

Release of a Kestrel
This American kestrel was released back into the wild last weekend at a public event at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS: Quechee, VT). VINS President John Dolan introduces Education Intern Sarah Sincerbeaux, who released the small falcon after it received care at VINS after being struck by a car. Release of a Ruffed Grouse
In this video, Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS; Quechee, VT) Wildlife Services interns Marie Hammond and Lauren Potter release a ruffed grouse back into the wild. The grouse was originally admitted as a patient to VINS when it flew into a window and suffered head and bodily trauma. Birthday trip to New Hampshire! First stop, Vermont. We traveled from western NY to Vermont with a stop at SugarBush Farms to taste test cheese and maple syrup. Super cute and informational place to stop for some goodies and to hike and stretch your legs.
