Vagamon, also spelt Wagamon, is a hill station located in Meenachil taluk and Kanjirappally taluk of Kottayam district and Peerumade taluk of Idukki district of the state of Kerala, India.
It has a cool climate, with the temperature between 10 and 23 °C during a summer midday. It is situated 1,100 metres above sea level.
Vagamon Meadows: The rolling green meadows of Vagamon has a lake amidst them. It has for long been a favorite location for shooting movie songs
Vagamon was discovered by the British who found the place ideal for tea plantations and they were followed by Christian missionaries who built their abode of service at Kurisumala in Vagamon. We went on a trip with friends and family ( all couples ) together to Vagamon, a hill station in Kottayam, Kerala. We stayed at Treebo Adrak Summer Sand Hill Resort, Vagamon which is one of the favourite place for Malyalalam Super Star Mohanlal. He recently stayed there for the shoot of Odiyan. Its near by Vagamon Pine valley and very close to Vagamon Meadows. Vagamon is the best place for a summer vacation holiday.
We also went to Vagamon Lake, where lot of malayalam movies were shot. Ramante Edanthottam, Odiyan , Queen are the recent ones. Lake and a tea plantation adjacent to each other. This should be in your list to do things in Kerala. Its a must visit places in Kerala
In lake you can go for boating.

Vagamon meadows are also called as Vagamon Mottakkunnu. The spot located 6.5 km away from Vagamon town which lies in the border of Idukki and Kottayam.
There is an entry fee of 10 rupees per person and other extra charges for camera and video. Never mind having a walk through the hills of the spot. We won't feel tired as the climate in Vagamon is chilling. There is a lake in the center of Vagamon meadows. Seating for visitors is also perfectly placed all sides of the hills.
