Vajdahunyad Castle - Budapest, Hungary
Vajdahunjad castle, is a castle in the City Park of Budapest, Hungary. It was built in 1896 as part of the Millennial Exhibition which celebrated the 1,000 years of Hungary, since the Hungarian Conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895.
The castle was designed by Ignác Alpár, to feature copies of several landmark buildings, from different parts the Kingdom of Hungary, especially the Hunyad castle in Transylvania, now in Romania. The different architectural styles represent the different eras in the history of Hungary: Romanesque for the age of the Arrpad dynasty, Gothic for the many other Hungarian royal houses, and the Renaissance and Baroque styles for the period of the Habsburg family.
Originally, it was made from cardboard and wood, but it became so popular that it was rebuilt from stone and brick between 1904 and 1908. Today, it houses the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, the biggest agricultural museum in Europe. The Museum opened its doors in 1897, even before the permanent building was fully complete.
The museum is accessed via a monumental staircase which brings you to the first floor staging eight permanent exhibitions. Guests can learn about animal husbandry, forestry, fishing, Hungary's wine industry, and much more. A visit also gives you a chance to admire the beautiful interior including a reconstruction of the Knights' Hall of the Hunyad castle.
The statue of the chronicler Anonyimus, made by Miklós Ligeti, is also displayed in the castle court. Anonyimus lived in the 12th century, his true identity is unknown, but he was a notary of Béla III of Hungary, who wrote the chronicle Deeds of the Hungarians.
In front of the amazing Chapel of Jak, is the statue of Ignác Darányi, who was a Hungarian politician and served as Minister of Agriculture twice.
The castle contains a statue of Bela Lugosi, as well, who was a Hungarian-American actor famous for portraying Count Dracula in the original 1931 film.
And, for the end, there was the bronze statue of Grof Károlyi Shándor, sitting on a granite bench with his hat and some books next to him. Grof Károlyi was Hungarian politician, founder of the hospital of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
After my short visit to Vajdahunjad castle, the amazing building and art complex, I realize that I must come back and spend more time in exploring and just relax: at this place. Perhaps, that might be some other story..

Zamek Vajdahunyad to budowla znajdująca się w Budapeszcie, w Parku Miejskim (Városliget). W 1896 z okazji 1000-lecia Węgier w stolicy odbyła się wielka Wystawa Milenijna, usytuowana w Parku Miejskim. Wzniesiono wówczas zespół budynków z nietrwałych materiałów (głównie drewna), które były kopiami obiektów z terenu Wielkich Węgier i miały reprezentować różne style w narodowej architekturze węgierskiej. Was the creator of Count Dracula, the vampire lord indeed inspired by Vajdahunyad Castle? Did Bram Stoker visit the Castle? Who was Count Dracula, and did he reside in the castle or was he kept there? Can you meet Dracula in the Budapest Vajdahunyad Castle?
Dracula was published in 1897, inspiring thousands of films, including the Vampire Diaries or the Twilight saga, the vampire themed fantasy romance and horror comedy series.
Dracula’s character was most probably inspired by Vlad the Impaler, the 15th century Transylvanian prince, also known as Vlad III Dracul of Wallachia, who was imprisoned by John Hunyadi in Vajdahunyad Castle for years.
And now i have time to visited the real dracula home in Budapest during my trip in this country. it's awesome and amazing journey to middle europe countries

Vajdahunyad Castle, or Vajdahunyad-vár, is a castle in City Park, Budapest, Hungary, that was built between 1896 and 1908, designed by Ignác Alpár. It is a copy in part of a castle in Transylvania, Romania, that is also called Vajdahunyad, though it is also a display of different architectural styles: Romanic, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
Originally it was made from cardboard and wood for the millennial exhibition in 1896 but it became so popular that it was rebuilt from stone and brick.
Today it houses the Agricultural Museum.
The statue of Anonymus, also displayed in the Castle court, was a chronicler in the 12th century (probably of King Béla III). He wrote the first history books on the ancient Hungarians, mostly based on legends. Superstition says that by touching his pen you will receive good luck.
It also contains a statue of Bela Lugosi, dedicating his work.

Vajdahunyad Kalesi - Vajdahunyad Castle - BUDAPEST B ROLL

Kincsvadász: a vajdahunyadi vár kútjának legendája – 2017. október 2.

Varosliget in Budapest. The City Park and the Castle of Vajdahunyad and the Heroes' Square
Városliget (City Park) is a public park in Budapest close to the city centre. Its main entrance is Heroes' Square (Hősök tere), one of Hungary's World Heritage sites. City Park was the main venue of the 1896 millennium celebrations of Hungary, by which time Andrássy Avenue, Millennium Underground and the Grand Boulevard were built. The Art Gallery was founded in 1877 on the initiative of the Hungarian National Fine Arts Association. The original building was situated at 69–71 Andrássy Street, now home to the University of Fine Arts. The exhibition hall on Heroes’ Square was erected in 1896 for the millennium celebrations, and was designed by Albert Schikedanz. Located at the end of Andrássy Avenue, Heroes’ Square is the entrance to the City Park as well as one of the most spectacular venues in Budapest. The three main sites of the square include the Hall of Art, built in 1896, the Museum of Fine Arts, inaugurated in December 1906, as well as the Millennium Monument, linking both buildings visually.
Kaupunginpuisto (unk. Városliget) on suuri julkinen puisto ja suosittu vapaa-ajanviettopaikka Budapestissa. Puiston laidalla on Sankarien aukio, mistä Andrássy út -katu kulkee suoraan Pestin keskustaan.
Budapestin Kaupunginpuisto on maailman vanhimpia julkisia puistoja.
