They were attracted to the beauty of the area and named it the Valley of Flowers. Frank Smythe later authored a book of the same name.

The valley is highly spectacular because it has a wonderful combination of snow covered mountains, frequent water falls and lush green valley full with flower bad on the both side of flowing river.
The gentle cool breeze and musical sound of the streams and water falls seem like heaven on the earth. The movement of the clouds are also a charm for visitors and hence the valley has become one of the most beautiful treks of the world. In many places, wire hanging bridges are formed to cross the river. As per Indian Sculptures & Mythology, God Hanuman had taken some medical plants from this valley only. So it has historic importance.
The diversity in flowers is amazing here. Mostly all the natural colors and shapes are found. The valley seems like a painted sheet of the almighty during July and August. Amongst them, some are rare high altitude flowers.

Valley of Flowers National Park - Uttarakhand, INDIA With Bikers
The more often we see the things around us - even the beautiful and wonderful things - the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds - even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.
Forever thankful for amazing trips like this. I really hope you enjoyed experiencing it with us! Where should we go next?! ]
