DALAT VIETNAM TRAVEL GUIDE || The Most Romantic City in Vietnam // Đà Lạt
We spent the weekend in Da Lat (Đà Lạt) and here's our travel guide. Dalat is renowned to be the most romantic city in Vietnam which I totally agree! I cannot believe how beautiful this City is and there are so many things to do.
We visited the crazy house and listed as one of the world’s ten most “bizarre” buildings.
The valley of love was next on our itinerary which is a short taxi ride outside of the center. This is one of the most romantic attractions in Dalat with the natural landscape and beautiful constructed gardens.
Finally we visited the night market which opens at 5pm till 11pm every weekend.
You cannot leave Dalat without trying the delicious foods. We tried:
Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage – Nem nuong
Vietnamese Pizza – Banh trang nuong
Mini Pancake – Banh can
Dalat Strawberry Jam
and of course the famous Soy Milk (best to drink hot!)
This is the third and final episode of the family reunion in Vietnam (my mum visits Vietnam) series. Check out the other two where we tour Ho Chi Minh City:

FLOWER VALLEYS, PAGODAS & WATERFALLS, Dalat, Vietnam
Valleys full of purple flowers, incense-filled pagodas, spectacular waterfalls and honeymooning couples. Where else could it be but the cool mountain city of Dalat in Vietnam?
Dalat is a romantic mountain city, often dubbed the 'Paris of Vietnam'. It's located in Lam Dong province, in the central highlands of Vietnam, 234km away from Ho Chi Minh City.
This video shows you the highlights of this unmissable hill station and former French colony. If you're travelling through Vietnam, we highly recommend that you spend a few days here to escape the heat of the lowlands and to enjoy the multitude of attractions on offer.
As for specifics, we suggest you go to witness the stunning displays of colourful flowers at the Dalat flower gardens, close to town.
A wonderful hiking trail , which starts about 12km outside Dalat, takes you up to the peak of Lang Biang mountain (2169m ) for stunning panoramic views.
You can also visit several waterfalls in the surrounds such as Datanla Waterfall, located just 5km from Dalat. The most spectacular waterfalls are further afield; Elephant Waterfall & Pongour Falls are two very impressive ones.
The 'Valley Of Love' is not to be missed, especially for those romancing couples who want a fairytale experience. Here you'll find pristine pine forests, a large lake, 'Cinderalla' style carriages pulled by horses, swathes of purple & violet flowers and lots more.
If you fancy it, you can take a cable car ride from Robin Hill to the Truc Lam Monastery and back. The ride spans a distance of 2.3 km between the two points.
Dalat also has a number of beautiful lakes & reservoirs in the surrounds where you can often swim, fish or rent out pedal-boats.
You could spend your time ambling the charming city streets, admiring the catholic churches and french architecture or visit the market to taste the mulberries, succulent strawberries and candied plums. There are also some stunning pagodas to see around town such as the famous Linh Phuoc Pagoda (Glass Pagoda), the Linh Son Pagoda (make sure to check out the pine tree hill behind this) and the Truc Lam Pagoda.
The Bao Dai summer palace is a beautiful property to visit, and it yields an insight into the life of the last reigning Vietnamese emperor (Emperor Bao Dai). It was used as a retreat by the emperor's family.
Lastly, make sure to check out the 'Crazy House', ranked among the world's top 10 craziest buildings. This architectural wonder is actually a hotel known as the 'Hang Nga Guesthouse' and was designed by a very eccentric Vietnamese architect.

Valley of Love in Dalat city I Dalat Private Tours
The Valley of Love is a picturesque valley of rolling hills with a lake as its centrepiece, serving as a romantic getaway for locals and tourists. The French originally named the area Vallée D’amour (The Valley of Love) in 1930, due to its tranquil setting and greenery. The name was changed to The Valley of Peace under the reign of King Bao Dai, and in 1953 was changed once again to its current name, The Valley of Love or Thung Lung Tinh Yeu.

DALAT Vietnam | The MOST ROMANTIC City in Vietnam ????????
DALAT Vietnam | The MOST ROMANTIC City in Vietnam ????????
I HIGHLY recommend that you visit Dalat one day! My friend told me he had gone back to Dalat 4 or 5 times because he loved it so much... Now I understand. The video does not do it justice :) It has a European feel as it was built by the french in the early 1900s. They views and scenery will take your breath away! I am sure we will be going back a few more times to experience everything we didn't have the time to... If you have been to Dalat, please let us know in the comments, how was your experience and what did you love most about Dalat?

Da Lat City Tour - Valley of Love
Dalat, also Da Lat (Đà Lạt), located in the South Central Highlands of Vietnam, was originally the playground of the French who built villas in the clear mountain air to escape the heat and humidity of the coast and of Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City.
Đà Lạt (pop. 206,105 as of 2009, of which 185,509 are urban inhabitants) is the capital of Lam Dong province in Vietnam. The city is located 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above sea level on the Langbiang Plateau in the southern parts of the Central Highlands (in Vietnamese, Tây Nguyên). In Vietnam, Da Lat is a popular tourist destination.
DALAT To Trai Mat By Vintage Train I VIETNAM
We went for a little trip from Dalat to ride a french old colonial train in Dalat. Is it worth? We were quite happy to travel by train after a long time and it was pretty cool but we weren't really satisfied with the scenery views from the train. But it was still pretty great to be on an old train. After that, we arrived in Trai Ma where we visited Linh Phuoc Pagoda and that was a highlight of this trip.

Vietnam - Da Lat The Romantic City by Drone 4K
A scenic flight view of Da Lat The Romantic City in Vietnam.
Dalat lies in the central highlands and is surrounded with lakes, waterfalls, forests, temples, mountains and beautiful gardens.
The weather in September is lovely; it’s cool but a bit chilly at night. Dalat is known as the romantic city in Vietnam and is a favourite honeymoon spot. It’s also filled with artists who set up home here and even has a miniature replica of the Eiffel tower.
