PAPHIAKOS ANIMAL WELFARE CHARITY - PAPHOS - CYPRUS

As a tourist visiting Paphos – Cyprus we were impressed, when we came across this charity, by the dedication of the volunteers to animal welfare.
Throughout all of 2015 the Charity has been re-focusing because despite the amazing work they do, similar to many others, they are struggling to raise funding and donations. This is the reason for this video.If you are visiting Paphos please pop along and see them.
The organisation was founded in 1982, it was known then as
Cyprus Cat Protection (CCP) and Animal Welfare, providing shelter for stray cats and dogs.
In 1994 it became “Paphiakos & CCP Animal Welfare” a registered charity No.1529.
The charity provides many aspects of animal welfare services including a public veterinary and information clinic, free rescue, 24 hours emergency service shelter, boarding, re-homing and a pet travel service,
There is also a Café/Tea Rooms/Coffee Shop, charity shops and a book exchange.
