Jermuk is a part of the rich nature of Southern Armenia, Syunik region, with numerous cultural and historical monuments and buildings spread out in the city and its surroundings, with numerous bottomless canyons and high cliffs, caves and hunting grounds that attract lovers of adventure recreation. Jermuk lake, waterfall, bridge, arch, cable car and ski run, in a word, it’s a great place to enjoy life through contact with nature at any time of the year.

The city of Jermuk is crossed by the River Arpa which is one of the deepest rivers of Armenia. The deep gorge of Arpa divides not only the city but also the mountain range of Vayots Dzor. There is also a waterfall “Mermaid Curls” in this amazing gorge, which falls from 70 meters high into the gorge. There are also stone creations in Arpa gorge: the Arch of Desires and the Matchless Heart.
The most famous landmarks of Jermuk are Arpa - Sevan tunnel and Kechut reservoir with the beautiful name “Pearl”. The city is also rich in monuments and memorial plates, including a memorable ensemble of Armenian volunteers and a stone Sun in memory of William Saroyan.
When listing the attractions of the city of Jermuk, of course, we should not forget the cable car, which has a length of 1000 m, and the highest point is at an altitude of 2480m. From this point, you can admire the beautiful Jermuk panorama. The cable car that meets international standards allows skiers to use excellent professional tracks. A special playground was built for sledging at the last stop of the Jermuk cableway.
There are museums, a branch of the National Art Gallery, libraries, parks and clubs in the city of Jermuk.
