After our Thekkady visit, we took a train from Kottayam to Trivandrum. It’s a three and a half hour journey and we reached Trivandrum by evening. We booked our accommodation in Apollo Dimora, a beautiful hotel with all the amenities and is nearest to the Trivandrum Central railway station and Trivandrum bust stand.
By evening we took a stroll to the nearby place and we spotted this juice corner and this special sharbat is a must try.
The next morning we went to Veli tourist village located 9 km from Trivandrum central. A cool hangout place for the locals and is the gateway to the Veli beach. The Veli village is an estuary between a lake and the sea. Where we can find many sculptures and there’s a floating café on the lake. This park is well maintained and is a cool hangout place to spend time. The place is a spot where the Veli Lake joins the sea, so here you can visit both the lake and sea together
The Veli Lake also features boating facility like speed-boat, rowboat and other motor boats.
This is the floating café and the floating bridge that connects the park to the beach.
Horse riding and many other fun activities are available here.
Later we had dosa and aappam to fuel ourselves to visit the Museum and zoological park.
Firstly we visited the Napier museum, a 19th-century building with archaeological & historical artifacts and arts.
And then we entered the Zoo the oldest zoo in India with over 80 species, which features many animals, birds also there’s a reptile house inside the zoo.
