How to bring your car to Venice, Italy - practical info | allthegoodies.com
(A) Available for all.
Venice is not the most car friendly city in the world. In fact it is impossible to get around in a car at all. If you are on vacation, your car is propably packed with stuff. And possibly not organized in the best way. So what should you do if you are driving your car to Venice? We came up with two alternatives, the one better than the other, which we present in this video.

THE watery city of Venice has banned cars but one lucky driver traverses the town in a Ferrari – made out of WOOD. Livio De Marchi spent five months whittling a block of pine into a Ferrari F50 – an Italian car fit for the Italian canals. The craftsman carefully carved the famous logo, rims and brake lights into the wood and added a Yamaha boat engine to power it through the water. The eye-catching vehicle, which weighs 2000 pounds, is a solitary motor in Venice’s waterways packed with gondolas, yachts and floating taxis.

Drive to Venice Italy from Pula Croatia | Eastern Europe road trip 2019
***i'm 13 subscriber away from my own url. Please subscribe***
**The first 5 minutes is just driving through Pula,Slovenia and Italy. Fast forward if you don't want to see that***
We decided an unplanned trip to Venice. We were suppose to visit Rovinj, Croatia but decided not to. We were disappointed in Pula and i knew
that Rovinj will be more or less the same. I mean we've seen enough historic stuff at this point.
The drive to Venice is about 3 hours and change. We had to cross into Slovenia and the custom process was fairly easy. You get stamped by the exiting country
and again by Slovenia. Entry into Italy is pretty seamless.
I've been on the road for the past 15 days or so and have not seen this many trucks until i entered Italy. There seems to be more trucks than cars. The drive
is pretty easy even thouh at times the lanes are so narrow and it can be a little scary. You will have to pay tolls and it is not as expensive as Croatia.
As you enter Venice, you can park outside of venice and take the train or ferry but we decided to pull in as close as we could and this will take you to the biggest
parking lot in Venice which is the Tronchetto parking. The cost is fairly reasonable. A full day will cost you 21Euros. If you plan to spend less than 3 hours, the cost is 11 euros but
chances are you will need more time.
Need to pee? we're used to paying to used toilet at this point but this was the most expensive to date at 1euro!! it is located by the Section E
of the parking spot. It can be confusing if you park ont he A side. You will end up taking the elevator down and wonder where to go. The best way is to walk down to section E and go down. We needed
to get to Saint Marks Square and nothing cheaper than public transportation. We bought return ferry ticket at a cost of 15 Euros. If you have children under 6, they are free or you pay a full price and
there is no discounts for seniors. From there it's a short walk and the ferry ride to to Marks Square takes about 20 minutes. The ride is pretty smooth and very scenic obviously.
Will be uploading the second part of this later. Please subscribe!

Banksy Crashes Venice Biennale With an Installation That Criticizes The City's Cruise Ship Problem
A new video appeared on Banksy's Instagram account showing the famous street artist (or perhaps someone from his team) setting up an unlicensed stall in Venice. The installation is interpreted as a critique of the giant cruise ships that are allowed to sail the Venetian lagoon and it seems to have resonated with locals.
The artist accompanied his post with the caption: Setting out my stall at the Venice Biennale. Despite being the largest and most prestigious art event in the world, for some reason I’ve never been invited.

euronews le mag - Venetian lace museum proudly reopens
On Burano Island in the lagoon of Venice, famed for the splendour of its past, the Lace Museum is open once more, following lengthy restoration. Vaporetti motor launches from Venice cover the distance to Burano in a little more than a half-hour. The museum's home is in the historic Palazzetto del Podestà, in Piazza Galuppi.
The renown of the needlework without equal here led to the establishment of a school of lace, in 1872, by Countess Andriana Marcello.
