Aragonda Sri Veera Anjaneya Swami Temple - Ardhakonda - Ardhagiri - Chitoor
Aragonda (Ardhakonda) Anjaneya Swami Temple - Ardhakonda - Ardhagiri - Chitoor - Andhra Pradesh - India
Sri Veera Anjaneya Swamy Temple
The main mountain is about 300feet high. A small temple was in existence in this kshetram for quite a long time, said to be from 300 years back. Today the temple had seen improvements. Even now the temple is quite small and maintains the sanctity. Though the main attraction here is the Puskaarini and Sri Veera Anjaneya, there is a small temple for the Vinayaka just before reaching the Hanuman temple. Recently a temple for Ayyappan had also been built on the hillock just opposite to the Hanuman temple.
Sri Veera Anjaneya Swamy
In the main sanctum sanctorum the kaupinam wearing Sri Veera Anjaneya Swamy is facing north. The nearly three feet idol is covered with copper plate. The embossment of the main deity is clearly seen. His right hand is showing Abhya mudra, in the left hand He is seen holding the sowganthika flower. His tail is seen raised above the head and there is a small bell typical of Hanuman idols of Andhra about 300-400 years old. He is seen wearing beautiful kundalam (ear ring), an ornamental mala adorns His neck. His eyes are seen glowing.
Sanjeevaraya Pushkarini
The picturesque sight of the place is mesmerising, with the medicinal mountain making the backdrop of the scene. There are atleast two or three mountains which forms the group of Sanjeevi medicinal mountain. The shortest of these is considered as main Aragonda. On the top of the mountain there is a tank which is known as Sanjeevaraya Pushkarini. It is said that the tank is always full and never dries up.
It is believed that the water from this Puskarini has lot of medicinal value as of herbs of Sanjeevi mountain, and cures even deceases like TB etc. The water from this Puskarini was not spoiled even after four months in our case.

MATTAPALLI SRI YOGA NARASIMHA SWAMI - SRI RAJYA LAKSHMI TEMPLE-KRISHNA RIVER-NALGONDA-TELANGANA
Mattapalli Sri Rajya Lakshmi Sametha Yoga Narasimha Swami Temple - Mattapalli, Near Huzurnagar, Nalgonda,Telangana, India
Sthala Puranam ( Temple in the legends ) :
The Maha Kshetram is in the midst of a dense and lovely forest, which instills awe and inspiration in the minds of the visiting pilgrims. In one of the caves adjoining the pilgrim town, the image of the Lord has been radiating glory from times immemorial. Legend had it that Sri Bharadwaaja Maharshi worshipped this deity everyday accompanied by several other sages. In those unknown times, only sages and gods could worship the self revealed images of Narasimha in the cave. Later the sages who had the welfare of this world at their heart, decided to throw open this holy place to the common man. An auspicious time for it came in Kali Yuga. The deity was revealed in a dream to the devotee Sri Anumala Machireddi, the ruler of Thangeda which is 3 km off Mattapalli on the opposite bank of the Krishna river. The Lord wished Machireddi to reveal his image for the good of the mankind during Kali Yuga. The ruler accompanied by his pandits, searched all the caves on the banks of river Krishna, as ordained by the Lord, but could not trace the location of the deity. Sad and depressed, he fell asleep in the forest. Again the Lord appeared in his dream and ordained him to search further, in a designated area near an Aare tree hidden behind the foliage in a cave. Waking up, the ruler found the cave and the image of the Lord in a seated posture, with the wellspread hood of Sesha over his head, fully adorned with Shankha Chakra Gadha and as if the Lord was being worshipped regularly, with flowers, sacred leaves, fruits etc. Overjoyed, the ruler revealed the Maha Kshetram to the general public and constructed a Mukhaalaya.
Tamil Nadu sends 64-feet long rock statue|| Massive Vishnu statue from TN to Bengaluru
#perumalstatue #Vishnustatue #bangalore
“While the bigger rock is being transported on a trailer with 240 tyres, the smaller rock is being loaded on a trailer with 170 tyres,” he said.
The trucks will have to cover a distance of roughly 320 kilometres over bypass roads in Vandavasi and Cheyyar,
Two very long container trucks are readying to begin their journey from a small village in Vandavasi to Bengaluru. One of them will carry a mammoth piece of rock weighing roughly 380 tonnes, while the second will ferry a slightly smaller rock weighing nearly 230 tonnes. Both will be used to sculpt idols for a temple in Bengaluru.
The village of Korakottai in the Vandavasi taluk of Tiruvannamalai has witnessed hectic work in the past few days.
Revenue officials said work to load the rocks on the trucks had commenced. The trailers arrived two days ago.
The two rocks were cut from a hill in the village nearly two years ago.
It all started with the dream of Dr. B. Sadananda, a doctor by profession and the main trustee of Kothandaramaswami Temple in Bengaluru. “It has long been my dream to come up with a statue that is unique and not found anywhere in the world. We have been looking for single rocks but finding them is extremely difficult. My earlier attempt to make the statue failed after the rock cracked at 47 feet. I then found this village in Vandavasi and applied to the government. It [the rock] was found on a porumboke land,” he said.
The doctor wants the statue to be unique. “With the two single rocks, we are making a Vishwaroopam statue of Perumal for the temple. Once done, it would be a 101 feet to 108 feet-high statue, together with the seven-headed snake Adisesha upon the deity’s head,” he explained.
Murugan, tahsildar of Vandavasi, said the larger of the two monoliths was about 66 feet long, and the smaller, to be used for sculpting the snake, was 32 feet long.
Partially completed
“The work on the statue has been partially completed. The final work will be completed in Bengaluru,” he said.
