German Chalet
Lovingly created by the current owner, this German-style home captures the heart and soul of life in another time and place! Situated outside of the quaint Lancaster County PA Dutch haven of Strasburg, a drive up the meandering lane creates the anticipation that something special is about to happen.
There are 18 tons of German roof tile that were installed piece-by-piece in fire brigade fashion with the assistance of neighboring farmers. Even the gutters and downspouts are German made. The masonry walls offer R30 insulation and interior plaster completes the steadfastness of a truly outstanding home.
Walking through the 250 pound mahogany front door, complete with tapered batten and half chevron overlay, the visitor is greeted with an abundance of natural light thanks to the many double-tilt full pane insulated windows, French doors and Velux skylights.
The main floor features a welcoming foyer and introduces the curved stairway with a hand carved banister, an eat-in kitchen with a large center island, and, of course, the dining and living rooms, both of which have German paneled ceilings. The dining room is highlighted with an imported, and assembled on site, German Stuttgart Kecheofen with French Cast Iron insert, which maintains a beautiful warmth in the colder months. Additionally, on the main floor is a Master Bedroom, currently being used as a spacious office. It is en suite and boasts Verdi Giada marble in its romantic master bathroom.
As if one is not already entranced by the beauty of this outstanding home, there is even more to appreciate in the upper two levels and finished basement.
As a special treat, a Mahogany balcony overlooks over 15 acres of fabulous woodlands, forest, meadows and bottom lands. When the outdoors is calling, the easily walkable and well maintained pathways allow one to explore the beauty of the natural surrounding of this incredible home. The quintessential PA Dutch experience is completed with a a quick trip to the PA Railroad Museum, Sight & Sound Theater, Lancaster's Central Market and other such Iconic Lancaster County treasures, which are mere moments away!
We would love to show you through the unique environment, both inside and out, that makes this home so special. Establish an appointment for your personal tour today. Please do not enter the property without an appointment.

Presented by Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty
For more information go to:
As the verdant heart of Ardrossan, Col. Robert Montgomery's legendary 750-acre estate on Philadelphia's Main Line, Albermarle is a property like no other. Its fascinating history as the center for the Montgomery family's equestrian pursuits epitomizes the Main Line's Golden Age. Its transition into a magnificent residence with guest houses, party barn and clock-tower office continues its legacy as world-class property. The Strasburg Rail Road (reporting mark SRC) is the oldest continuously operating railroad in the western hemisphere and the oldest public utility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Chartered in 1832, the Strasburg Rail Road continues to operate under its original charter and original name (Strasburg Rail Road Company). Located just outside of the town of Strasburg, Pennsylvania, the railroad is a heritage railroad offering excursion trains, hauled by steam locomotives, through the heart of world-famous Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Strasburg currently has four (4) serviceable historic steam locomotives (Canadian National 7312, Canadian National 89, Great Western 90, N&W 475) on its roster and has the nation's largest fleet of historic wooden passenger coaches in operation.
The Strasburg Rail Road is also one of the few railroads in the United States to occasionally use steam locomotives to haul revenue freight trains.

SUMMARY
=======
Montana ( (listen)) is a state in the Northwestern United States. Montana has several nicknames, although none are official, including Big Sky Country and The Treasure State, and slogans that include Land of the Shining Mountains and more recently The Last Best Place.Montana is the 4th largest in area, the 8th least populous, and the 3rd least densely populated of the 50 U.S. states. The western half of Montana contains numerous mountain ranges. Smaller island ranges are found throughout the state. In total, 77 named ranges are part of the Rocky Mountains. The eastern half of Montana is characterized by western prairie terrain and badlands. Montana is bordered by Idaho to the west, Wyoming to the south, North Dakota and South Dakota to the east, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan to the north.
The economy is primarily based on agriculture, including ranching and cereal grain farming. Other significant economic resources include oil, gas, coal, hard rock mining, and lumber. The health care, service, and government sectors also are significant to the state's economy.
The state's fastest-growing sector is tourism. Nearly 13 million tourists annually visit Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, the Beartooth Highway, Flathead Lake, Big Sky Resort, and other attractions.
HiDef: Three Chimed Harmony: LIRR G5 Whistle on Strasburg Railroad's #475!
On April 15th, 2014, it was announced that Strasburg Railroad's ex-N&W 4-8-0 M Class steam locomotive #475, would be sporting LIRR G5 #39's 3 chime whistle (identical to a PRR 3 chime) for Easter Weekend. With this news, me and a couple of my good friends ventured out to Lancaster County on Saturday to hear the sound of the mighty Pennsy (LIRR) echo through the countryside. And we were not disappointed by any means, as the crew on this day was doing some awesome hi-lo's on the cord! We'll chase the train through everywhere from popular locations like Esbenshade Road and the East Strasburg station, to lesser known locations like Carpenter's Cemetery and Verdant View Farm. So enjoy the sounds of the LIRR from an era gone by in our latest segment, rightfully titled Three Chimed Harmony. Special thanks to the Strasburg Railroad and the Railroad Museum of Long Island. If you would like to donate money to help restore PRR steam in the form of LIRR G5 #39, please visit:
