Banff Bucket List: Johnston Canyon and Vermillion Lakes
Johnston Canyon has been on my Banff bucket list for a while and we finally went for a hike there. It was so beautiful, well worth the drive and the hike, even with two kids.
On our way back home we stopped at Vermillion Lakes, just outside the town of Banff. What a picturesque place with amazing views on Mount Rundle.
I hope we will get to hike more in Banff this summer!

Landscape Photography | Sunrise At Vermillion Lakes in Banff National Park And Always Wait | 4K
Last day in Banff National Park I decided to photograph sunrise at Vermillion lakes, because it was close to camp and I had to check out and pack my things. But of course not before shooting golden hour as well before flying out. Just when I thought the light wasn’t happening for me, it just popped and delivered some nice light for last pictures, so happy.
Make sure to watch in 4K. Cheers.

Trans Canada 1 from Lake Louise to Banff, Vermilion Lakes Drivelapse
This drive begins as I enter Trans Canada Highway 1 heading eastbound (actually south at this point). I took Highway 1 all the way to Banff, exiting at Mt. Norquay Road, and making a detour out to the Vermilion Lakes, a great place to catch beautiful reflections in the water at sunset. Then, I drove on into Banff.
