Cop tries to get me with Disorderly Conduct Over the 1st Amendment (Mentor, Ohio)
Cop tried to tell me a sign that said 'Happy F*ck the cops day' was disorderly conduct because City hall and a few local sheep were offended by the sign. But the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that no one can be arrested for disorderly conduct based on words alone unless those words are likely to inflict injury or provoke the average person to immediately retaliate. See State v. Hoffman, 57 Ohio St.2d 129, 133, 387 N.E.2d 239 (1979) and Cohen v. California.
To trigger a disorderly conduct charge the words must be considered direct “fighting words”. (State v. Beamer, Coshocton App. No. 11CA14, 2012-Ohio-2222).

LAKE CO COURT OF COMMON PLEAS, PAINESVILE, OHIO
Lake Co Court of Common Pleas hub of Ohio's Corrupt Career Politicians, Judges, Prosecutors, and Attorneys. That think they are above the law and will not be exposed for Jury Shopping or unlawful 'Stuck Method' currently in practice to hand pick the type of jurors that voted these treasonous bastards into office. But if you got the envelope of cash, know their secret handshake, or are part of the good ol boy crowd in Lake Co you can get anykind of favorable ruling you want. The problem is- we have collected months of undercover videos of all these people making a lot of very incriminating statements and hours of drinking before getting into their cars to prosecute people for the same thing. We were warned not to release any of it, but we are not responsible for what all the people do with it, in the event we are retaliated against.

*REAL WW2 RIFLES, GUNS, AND WEAPONS, WITH BLANKS USED*
On behalf of the D-Day Ohio, Inc.,
We welcome you to join us for D-Day Conneaut our annual recreation of June 6th, 1944.
Quickly becoming America's premier living history event, this free to the public reenactment is a highly realistic and educational reenactment of the WWII European Theater of Operations and the D-Day Normandy invasion.
Since 1999, this re-creation of the events surrounding the allied landings on the coast of Normandy, France has thrilled thousands of spectators. The event occurs within the beautifully kept grounds of Conneaut Township Park, in Conneaut, Ohio. Hundreds of re-enactors from across the United States and Canada assemble on the 250 yard long beach and sloping adjacent terrain, which closely resemble Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. Other areas of the park provide secluded venues for recreations of inland skirmishes between the occupying German soldiers, French resistance fighters, and Allied parachute and Glider infantry.
Spectators have an excellent and unobstructed view of the battlefield. Encampments of Allied and Axis units provide spectators the entire 1940's military experience. Sea side, home life, and camp life of the soldiers, sailors, and airmen who participated in the actual landings are realistically recreated with original equipment, uniforms and vehicles. If you are new to D-Day Conneaut, click our First Timers link for some guidance and suggestions.
Our Mission: Memento Sempre
Our mission is to educate the public about the sacrifice of those who fought and those who died on the beaches of Normandy, June 6, 1944 and to encourage remembrance, honor, and respect for the soldiers of the Allied and Axis armies of World War II.
Our Vision
It is the purpose of D-Day Ohio, Inc. to faithfully preserve the events of June 6, 1944 by annually sponsoring D-day Conneaut. The event commemorates the World War II battle that occurred on the Normandy coast in early June of 1944 between the Allied and Axis armies.
D-day Conneaut is a cultural and historical reenactment of the WWII era. Great attention is given to participant authenticity so we can create a living history of WWII. Beyond the reenactment of the beach attacks by WWII re-enactors, an encampment of both Allied and Axis troops will be held to share the daily life of the soldiers of both armies. Through the encampments, battle reenactments, lectures, displays and tours, the public gains an understanding of the events that occurred prior to June 6, 1944, and the sacrifices made during and after the invasion.
Special recognition is given to all U.S. veterans, particularly those who served in WWII. Profits from the event will be dedicated to the continuance of the event in future years.

RIP Capt. F. Joseph Cory (1933-2013) Taps, officers bugle.
F.J. Cory was a very stoic man as his son Michael has said. He worked hard and raised a good family with proper values. One of his sons I met while working at Ford Mo. Co. in 2000. This son, J. Fritz Cory became one of my finest and best friends to date. We have shared some of the best times of my life together. I find much sorrow in Fritz's loss today as he continues his journey with him here. However find much joy in the ways his father taught him to live as a man and enjoy life as friend and be a good proper husband to his wife Angela. I am off to Mr. Cory's funeral today to respects to a man who raised one of my very best friends. It shall be a grand day full of great memories and true enlightenment of how great a man Mr. Cory is and was...and a sure amazment of those lives he made a difference in.
Be thankful for the simple freedoms of life.
Scott
F. Joseph Cory, who was Maumee's Mr. Infrastructure, overseeing streets and sidewalks, water and sewer lines, parks and trees, and refuse collection as city service director, died Tuesday in Ridgewood Manor, where he had lived since 2006. He was 80.
He had Parkinson's disease since the mid-1990s, his son Michael said.
My dad was very stoic, and he just kept going, his son said.
Mr. Cory retired at the end of January, 1996, as Maumee's service director, a position he'd held for nearly 20 years.
He was very low-key, yet he had the respect of everybody there, said Maumee Mayor Rich Carr, who became a council member in 1989. He was the kind of person you want in government. He had no ego. He just looked out for the present and the future of the city.
Mr. Cory attended nearly every City Council meeting and worked with mayors and council members of both parties.
He didn't really take sides. He was nonpartisan, his daughter said. He just worked to get the job done.
Mr. Cory took care of the city's historic core while responding to growth through annexation and such developments as Arrowhead Park, which brought business, but also roads and traffic through Maumee.
Bringing that kind of industry and revenue to the city was one of the things he was most proud of, his son said.
Joe Camp, Maumee service director the last five years, said: Joe was a mentor to me.
Joe taught me the value of what public service is all about. He was very dedicated to his position and very responsive to the public, said Mr. Camp, who started with the city in 1988 as a summer intern. He was calm in his demeanor, but spoke with a solid tone. When he spoke, you listened. He spoke with authority.
That authority came from a solid civil engineering background, Mr. Camp said. Mr. Cory was a former board member of the Ohio chapter of the American Public Works Association.
Mr. Cory was hired in 1967 as commissioner of sanitation, street maintenance, and water. He became service director in 1976.
He was born Jan. 12, 1933, in Toledo, the youngest of five children to Elizabeth and David Cory. He was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo. He served stateside in the Army and afterward was a captain in the Army Reserve.
He formerly worked for Finkbeiner, Pettis & Strout engineers.
Mr. Cory was a volunteer Big Brother and was a Boy Scout leader.
Surviving are his wife, Loretta Cory, whom he married Sept. 14, 1963; daughters, Christina Cory and Suzette Dexter; sons, Michael J. and J. Fritz Cory, and two granddaughters.
Rob Smith: Confessions of a 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Soldier | Talks at Google
Rob Smith is a gay Iraq war veteran, journalist, and author of Confessions of a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Soldier: How a Black, Gay Man Survived the Infantry, Coming Out, and the War in Iraq. For lecture/reading events or interview requests, visit or email info@robsmithonline.com.
More info about Confessions of a 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Soldier:
Rob is a young black man coming to terms with his sexuality amid the backdrop of a sometimes homophobic and hyper-masculine U.S. Army. After surviving the notoriously brutal Infantry basic training, and simultaneously remaining closeted to all but a few of his colleagues at his first duty station, he is thrown into dangerous territory when the United States declares war on Iraq and his unit is one of the first called in. Deftly navigating the intersections of race, sexuality, and public policy, Confessions of a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ Soldier is alternately thought-provoking, humorous, and harrowing. Rob's experience offers a ground-level view of life on the front lines of race and sexuality in the United States military, in an unforgettable gay coming-of-age story -- with a military twist.

Butler Mill Trail, Lake Jackson Mounds, Tallahassee, Florida
A short tour of the Butler Mill Trail at Lake Jackson Mounds State Park.
Robert Butler was appointed the Surveyor General in Florida in 1825. He had a plantation of 900 acres around Lake Jackson, which includes what is today the Lake Jackson Mounds State Park.
Butler was an important person in the history of antebellum Florida, although he is largely forgotten today. The trail at Lake Jackson Mounds that passes by his earthworks and site of his former grist mill is named the Butler Mill trail, although unfortunately, nowhere in the park or brochures will you find out who he was.
When he was a teenager, Robert Butler was orphaned and became legal ward and raised by General Andrew Jackson in Tennessee. He later married Rachael Hays, who was niece of Jackson and his wife Rachael. Butler followed Jackson with a military Career, and was at the Battle of New Orleans and served as Jackson's Adjutant during the first Seminole War in 1818, where he signed the infamous execution orders of Ambrister and Arbuthnot.
In 1821, Butler accepted the flags at the changing of flags when Florida was transferred from Spain to the United States.
His gravesite is nearby in the woods off Crowder Road near the Lake Jackson Mounds State Park, although I have not been able to find it or get there.
No doubt, it was Butler who named Lake Jackson after his guardian and mentor, which shows up with the name of Lake Jackson on maps as early as 1827.
Activists in recent years have suggested renaming the mounds to the Okeeheepkee Mounds park. That is fine and it is the proper name of this place in the Muskogee language. People just don't seem to realize that there is also history behind why this place was Lake Jackson, and it was by Robert Butler almost 200 years ago.
