A vulture restaurant is a site where carrion is deposited for endangered vultures to feed on. Vulture restaurants can also be called feeding sites, feeding schemes, and vulture safe zones.
The survival of vultures in some areas is threatened by a variety of circumstances, including loss of habitat and diminishing food sources. In Nepal, vulture deaths have been caused by the ingestion of diclofenac, an anti-inflammatory medication used to treat cattle on whose carcasses the vultures feed. The goal of vulture restaurants is to provide a safe source of food to combat these threats in areas where vultures are known to roost.
The first vulture restaurant was built in South Africa in 1966. Vulture restaurants operate in a number of countries, including Nepal, India, Cambodia, South Africa, Swaziland, and Spain.

through the spray of victoria falls
With my underwatemercamera I filmed a walk through the intense spray of the vic falls on the bridge at the Zambian side. The local guide in front is Raphael. The spray is there because the water falls over 100 meter so tiny waterdrops form a cloud that is visible from 15 kilometers distance. The bridge leads to a high rock that stands in the middle of the Falls, From this rock you can see Zimbabwe and wave to the Zimbabwean visitors of the falls. In the middle you see a rainbow that is always there when the spray is high. You might call it a spraynbow or spraybow instead.

ZIMBABWE - FLIGHT OF ANGELS, VICTORIA FALLS
Victoria Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in the world, at over 1700m wide. One of the best ways to experience the falls is a helicopter ride in the air, watching the mighty Zambezi River snake its way through the landscape before plunging over the falls. If you're in Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe, this is a must do activity!

Victoria Falls, Zambia & Zimbabwe in 4K Ultra HD
Victoria Falls is one of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring waterfalls on our planet. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, on Zambezi River. Also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya - The Smoke That Thunders. The mist from the waterfall can be seen from far away and sustains nearby rainforest.
Victoria Falls is considered the largest waterfall, based on its combined width (1,708 m/5,604 ft) and height (108 m/354 ft), even though it is not the highest or the widest. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Volunteer Experience In Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe: Best Of 2019
➡️ Find out more about Victoria Falls as a volunteer destination:
????Subscribe for new videos:
From camping fun to visiting rural villages, lion walks, game drives and teaching assistance, it’s been another epic year in Victoria Falls!
In this video we have collected our favourite moments of 2019 to showcase how our volunteers get an extraordinary experience through unique encounters that make a difference to wildlife conservation, the environment and community development in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Here are just some of our highlights of 2019:
• Thanks to some generous donations and enthusiasm of our volunteers, we have built up a playground for a primary school in a rural area of Victoria Falls.
• We have conducted an intensive six-week data collection in the Zambezi National Park to investigate the impact that elephants are having on vegetation around watering holes in the park.
• In honour of World Giraffe Day, we have hosted a competition between the local schools of Victoria Falls in to raise awareness on many issues giraffes face. The schools competed in two categories: best speech and best poster. The students excelled in their categories and the event was a great success!
• We have got a newest addition to our lion family! Four beautiful cubs have been re-homed from South Africa, they are loving their new home in Fuller Forest and actively exploring the bush improving their hunting skills.
• We have successfully collared three elephants in the Zambezi National Park and have been busy working to gather data on elephants’ home range and the most intensively used areas.
Did we mention we had a lot of fun too?
Thank you to everyone who made this year possible!
Come join us in 2020, lets go MAD (make a difference) together!
